Looks like a decent chunk of >0C areas to me, but yes its probably just some warm daytime temps sandwiches between 18 hours of well below freezing...

11 at our place. Monthly avg of 17 with a low of -18, beating out last years low of -14. Consistent with Mazama (-29 this year) slightly beating out last year (-27).

I wish pivotal had hourly frames for the precip maps...i think weatherbell ones can be a bit funky. Pivotal at 10am shows an area of mix pretty close to your area. Maybe the Euro is back to being the conservative one on precip types.
