  1. 64 degrees here at 10pm in Tacoma. Light cool breeze. Gfs still looks rainy early next week.
  2. Looks like a severe t-storm warning went up today up around yale BC.
  3. Looks like the high temp for today will be 80. 17th 80+ of the year, much better than the last 5 years.
  4. Nice, this is the first time you guys have got some t-storms up north this year right?
  5. I think we had a tiny bit that year but I don’t remember it being bad here locally. I’m sure other places had accumulated ash that year as well, I just can only really remember it specifically being bad at my house last summer.
  6. We had some accumulating ash and thick orange smoke here in August of last summer. I don’t think that happened the year before, but it was still very smoky.
  7. Warmer day here today than I was expecting. Currently 79 degrees here.
  8. I’m hoping for a stormy early hitting fall as well, but I wouldn’t mind getting some nice weather in September either imo. Hopefully this rain pans out early next week.
  9. Gfs still looks a bit rainy early next week. Warmer temps following after that headed into mid September.
  10. haha yeah well it’s still feeling pretty summery the last couple days here. Next couple days look nice as well.
  11. looks like fall is beginning early next week on the gfs.
  12. Latest gfs run looks dry Friday, takes precip mainly east of the cascades, but now early next week onward to hr 240 looks wetter now.
  13. The deer in my neighborhood are ridiculous. No fear of people and walk around all the time in broad daylight like it’s no big deal.
  14. Damage is pretty bad in Freeport right now unfortunately. Many parts of the city have been inundated by water.
  15. The effects of a storm like that happening in 2019 would be worse than if it had happened in 1962 across the PNW. Windstorms can be a cool phenomenon but a serious windstorm is not a good thing, 12/14/06 was the last serious one.
  16. Morning low of 57 here. Latest gfs run has a little rain on Friday, but nothing until D10 when the run shows a big fall type storm moving in.
  17. There’s been some pretty intense hurricanes I can recall in my lifetime, but I honestly am starting to believe this could end up being the worst of my lifetime. Really hope that doesn’t slam the SE US too.
  18. Accidentally deleted that post a second ago with the link lol. Not trying to get into a page filling annual leaf debate or anything just an observation.
  19. yeah I noticed that on my way home from chinook pass yesterday, just barely beginning, seems slightly early.
  20. Looks like it’ll be a 77/62 day today. Would be nice to get some cooler, less muggy nights than what we’ve been seeing since late June. Had 28 nights 58+ this summer.
  21. I’d be pretty scared if I lived in the SE US along the Atlantic coast. Many of those islands are just absolutely decimated. Definitely the most powerful insane hurricane in my lifetime.
  22. I honestly have to say the same this has been the best summer that I can remember in my lifetime. However I’m only 20 so my memory isn’t as extensive as a lot of you guys. Looking back at all the summers since 2005, the closest example I can find was 2007. Pretty similar statistically besides June of this year.
  23. Definitely does look like fall is on the horizon with the latest gfs runs.
