If even half of this verifies it will be pretty crazy for the Twin Cities over the next 5 days.     They might go from record low snow all winter to reaching their annual average in late March.

Where is the Twin Cities on this map?

I recorded a low of 7F in April once as a teenager in the mountains of New Mexico. And an 18 in May and a 29 in June (not all in the same year). That April low really did a number on the fruit trees but the flowering bulbs bounced back surprisingly well.

How was living in the New Mexico mountains? Must have been pretty cool.

Starting to run out of moisture but have had some nice light snow for the last hour. Will that band of moisture down south make its way north?

That light snow started to coat elevated surfaces again/ slush on the ground. Always nice

Yeah, besides some trace snowfalls in January and February we haven’t done so good this winter a few miles north either. We will just have to see how tonight goes.

I haven’t had a trace yet this winter.  It’s been a brutal winter with everyone scoring around us.

The magic elevation around the sound is 1200ft. If you had a place at 1200 near the foothills you would have massive snowy winters.

Lake King by Duvall/Monroe gets up to 1400 ft. Not very populated so I can never find snow stats unfortunately
