  1. That pic is Ahhhh-mazing!! Can't believe how close that depth of snow is to Seattle and the rest of us. Goes to show you what Arctic air and Pacific moisture can do when they clash.
  2. Absolutely spectacular! Looks more like Snoquamie Pass...
  3. The amazing thing about this event is the low level easterly flow coming down Snoqualmie pass! Maple Valley, Renton Highlands and east to North Bend stayed snow this entire time with huge totals. Rain on Kent East Hill to the west and south. I turned to rain, not far from these area's yesterday around 3:30pm and I live at over 550' so go figure. For those that got hammered, the rest of us south of Renton are living vicariously through you! Keep the pics and totals coming.
  4. Had no idea Stanwood was a local snowbelt! Very nice. Enjoy!!
  5. Temp up to 35 with gusty SE winds. Mod. rain with all side roads a slushy mess. Local grocery store parking already has massive lakes. This is not going to be a fun couple days... Time to head east to our cabin in Plain! Currently 15 degrees with hvy. snow. East slopes and passes just getting hammered in this setup! WSU was closed today and likely tomorrow. Spokane is getting hit as well.
  6. Very likely down-sloping for us. Seems Oly. will stay snow even when we turn to rain. Frustrating and I am at 575'!
  7. Moderate rain here and 33.4. Sadly, the end has come for SE Auburn. Picked up a mere 1" before the change over. This is my absolute LEAST favorite part of a snow event, the cold rain... Hope others are enjoying up to the North as the snow hangs on, may ur cold air hold tight!!
  8. Mod. snow here now but temp up to 34 from 28 earlier this morning. Wind from the SE... Hoping to get at least another 2.5" before change over. 17.5" total for event so far, can we hit 20"??
  9. Haha! Yes, the hardest part about being a snow lover in W. Wa... The fun always ends at some point, but heck, what a ride the last week has been!
  10. Nice! Keep the updates coming. I always watch Olympia. When they turn, Tacoma and vicinity is usually not far behind. Down to 28.4 down from 32.5 last night. Great temp for the onset of precip.
  11. I think you and I could easily go either way! 1"-4" to rain or 4"-10" to ?? Regardless, snow for the first part. Just please no FZ!!
  12. Let's add another 30 to ur 20! And throw PDX in for good measure.
  13. Love the look of Doppler with precip. S. Puget Sound by 8:30am maybe? Next 12-24 hours will be a weather lovers dream watching cams and obs to see which scenario verifies.
