Moderate snow started about 20 minutes ago. Some model guidance is predicting up to 40 cm (16 in) total accumulation through Tuesday for the east coast of Vancouver Island!

It has been snowing moderate to heavy here (southern Vancouver Island) for the past 41/2 hours. We have picked up 4 inches (10 cm) new so far. Looks like a lot more to come according to the radar animation!

Moderate to heavy snow here now! Collecting fast. Temperature -1 C i.e. 31 F. I just drove up from Victoria across the Malahat and It was quite slippery in places
