Answered this elsewhere, but not really. We had high thin clouds and they worked as a filter. I could actually see well for about 20 seconds without the glasses. But I didn’t take chances. They went back on fast. I could see the corona flares which were the highlight for me.

NPR seems to hold its own. Massive audience. Its sister station, PBS, is a mainstay in my house. As I’ve grown older I just don’t have time to dedicate to a lot of news programming and I get tired of the same old talking heads. (And listening to elected officials is just clown time.)

IDK. Suburban parents are not fond of far left policies. Mom and Dads still want to send their kids to balanced school programs, without a political agenda. Private schools are popular today for this reason. I'm all for choice in education. I wish I had gone to a better high school regardless of its background. I wanted to be better prepared.

Not so much a monopoly as a heavily leveraged position. Yes we’re all for free speech but when an opposing side can not respond equally the dialog is no longer balanced. We need equal balanced dialogues.

Interesting factoid: In FY 2023, CBP, including Air and Marine Operations, seized 27,293 pounds of fentanyl, coming across the southwest border – enough to kill more than 6 billion people – almost the entire population of the earth. Just one good reason to control the border.

Mount Etna, Europe’s largest active volcano, is delighting tourists and locals by blowing almost perfect circles of smoke into the blue skies over Sicily. The smoke circles, known as volcanic vortex rings, are actually made of condensed gases and water vapour. They form when gases rise up from deep below the earth and escape inside the crater of a volcano.
