  1. Serious Damage Reported. https://apnews.com/article/taiwan-earthquake-tsunami-f086aac0c3082036d1ca77c01828fb28
  2. As long as it’s equal to those that drive gas engines and not more. I don’t have a problem with EVs except the battery disposal/recycling isn’t resolved.
  3. 61* Overcast Windy. Downright chilly! Low tonight 48/49! Cool week ahead
  4. Maybe Biden should just come out as Bisexual. Really amp up the Party.
  5. Missed that one. It’s disconcerting when they have these collisions. If navigation fails you I understand but if it’s pilot error - oh man. I’ve both piloted and been a hand on sail boats - tricky buggers. Lots of things can happen with the wind power but engines are more controllable. Some of the film I’ve seen looked like they approached at too sharp an angle Even 18 wheelers have to allow for more turning radius. The pilot also has to figure the current. I think he just blew it.
  6. Is this some kind of industry cry for help? US-59 south of Sallisaw, Okla. at the Kerr Reservoir is completely shut down at this time due to a barge that has struck the bridge. Troopers are diverting traffic away from the area. The bridge is going to be shut down until inspections of the bridge can be made.
  7. You know Chewy, it’s SO true what you say about the currents, etc. I’m an old Ssil boater and you read the wind and the calm spots as well as say, the wind pouring over a large dam. This pilot had to know the waters.
  8. 74* today. Gorgeous Humidity 40% - low for us Clear, Breezy. 10mph. Spotted a bunny on the golf course. Wonder if he was hiding eggs?!
  9. Yeah. I co owned a small chemical processing plant and over the years the regs kept getting tighter. It’s a must, but damned expensive. Security got more and more expensive for us. Ports must be a nightmare to maintain compliance and security. Then there’s always scuba though too. I’d think that’s not easy to manage in cold currents. I’m so glad I’m out of that business although I loved the challenge.
  10. It has to be ruled out with a thorough investigation. That will take time. Cant jump to ‘nothing to see here’. Baltimore harbor is the most important harbor on the east coast. We’ve pissed off a lot of people overseas. I hope you’re right but we’re overdue. Considering an open southern border and they’ve arrested many known on the terrorist list, I’m sure many got away too. If not a harbor, then plenty of other important opportunities.
  11. Ok. Totally crazy. Cocoa futures just hit an all time high above $10,000/ton. Up 25% over the last couple months. Weather has affected the crop. El Niño created rains in Africa that formed a fungus on the crop. The Easter Bunny is officially p…. off!
  12. The new view of the supermassive black hole Sagittarius A* that was provided by the Event Horizon Telescope suggests that all black holes have a similar structure, according to astronomers at Harvard and the Smithsonian Institute who shared the imagery on Wednesday.
  13. Thats because she’s not right for the top job, imho.
  14. The Baltimore bridge was no accident. Think about it
  15. Hey, enjoy it up! Sounds awesome. Hope the weather pans out. You never know here. Take pictures if you have a filter.
  16. There’s little to suggest in Clifton. Ranching and farming. Waco might be close enough. Better ask folks where you’ll be. But that is certainly out in the heart of the state. I’d love it. Big, open, quiet. If you get bored easy take something with you. Me? I’d be writing and drawing!! Photography with those big landscapes. I’m envious.
  17. I’m really hoping for good skies for all of us. Likely our last solar opportunity. I’m on the western line of totality. I read where hotel are filling up in areas of totality in Texas. Big solar party down here.
  18. No mention as to what the money is for? (Maybe Kamala’s dry cleaning for all those pant suits, or public speaking lessons, laugh control. We know the border won’t get it)
  19. We haven’t received much rain through the winter. It really needs to rain. ¿Cuándo va a llover?!!!
  20. 70* Sunny. Light breeze. Mind Blowing Beautiful! A week of the same ahead. Only a 30% chance scattered rain Monday.
  21. The County north of Dallas has issued a State of Emergency warning for the Solar Eclipse due to traffic. IDK. I won’t be driving and viewing and Kaufman Co isn’t exactly prime viewing!
  22. Gulf coast looking very dry. Doesn’t bode well for crops. …..Outlook for Texas?
  23. I’m all for alternative energy. I co built and operated a chemical recycling plant. However…… building a solar farm in Hail Country somehow rings of Washington DC. Ask any Texan Hail took out a Tx solar farm.
  24. Heading for 82 Saturday and 85 Sunday. Some folks are already working on their tan. I just want to get some flowers out.
