A few spits of rain earlier, now just cloudy and breezy and 51 degrees.

Who said anything about hating the world?
Fair enough. And further, I would dread the heat you guys get down there too. You're summer days always outdistance us in that department. BTW, I wasn't trolling earlier. If you don't enjoy where you live, it might be time for a change. Moving can be an awesome experience, regardless of the associated difficulties. IMO life actually shouldn't be spent in in single area. Even a move within the same region. Especially since ours is so diverse.

I really don’t want to write a manifesto on my preferences every other day, but I love spring and summer. It would just be nice not to sit under a stagnant ridge all warm season and choke on smoke and drought. I’m sure you already know I feel this way. It’s not an unreasonable desire. The 50s and rain all summer thing is just strawman crap
The upcoming ridge will be fine I’m sure, and despite all the mischaracterizations I will be out enjoying the weather just as much as anyone. It would be nice if it wasn’t a harbinger of our warm season pattern, though. Although judging by how things have gone in recent years, it may be.
But what good does it do you to hate the world because the climate isn't what is used to be? Maybe a change of locales is in order.

The 12z ECMWF only has one above normal min for SEA over the next 10 days. I'm really liking this.
Time for Spring. Just my opinion. Downvote away.

Well it also means we will find out soon. I post whatever comes to mind. Not a cheerleader or unreasonable pessimist.

I will highlight his posts that directly mock and belittle other people. At least he can't play innocent.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news Tim, but @OysterPrintoutwas mocking you. Can't trust an Oregonian anyway.

Gonna be a rough few days for the Sounders on here.
Meh, if I counted on snow for my happiness I would move. Life goes on and it’s fun to watch gonna happen as well as your trolling us flat landers.

Models suck, we used to have the euro, when it showed snow we had a good chance and now it is doing gfs garbage.
Can you imaging trying to forecast from these as a professional?
I was a machinist for a long time before I moved into Mgmt. Can't imagine doing your job with faulty measuring tools.

This is ridiculous. The Ancient Aliens tv show is now more accurate than our weather models.
I used to get excited about snow maps, now you can't trust any of them.
Yes @TT-SEA, even the Euro is sucking it.

Here’s the two that live in that pen. They’re comical sometimes.

I keep forgetting that there is an NHL team in Seattle when they passed on putting a team in Oregon. Aside from the Ducks, sports in Oregon are generally pretty depressing.

April 2024 Weather in the PNW
in West of the Rockies
Posted
Ok, so we made it through this brutal weekend. I endured two different outdoor fires with neighbors as well as sitting in the sun for a while and even yardwork without suffering heat exhaustion. It's gonna take a couple of days to recover. Also it has been sunny and nice all morning and thankfully now the clouds are moving in.
