  1. Totally agree with this. As my eye doctor told me today, ‘Your poor vision is caused by having a lot of birthdays’ today is right up there. About 3” of snow all happening at 16-19 degrees. Should be a spectacular day tomorrow. Such a rarity is these parts. I keep looking at my weather station waiting for the inevitable warm up, but it is going the other way. 16 freaking degrees on the west side of the Cascades!!!
  2. Back in the travel trailer days, frequented Wannacut Lake frequently. Been to Oriville a few times. Nice Area. Amazing fishing in that lake most years.
  3. This! Just this side of 60 and a Clark County lifer… don’t misunderstand me, 20 degrees and a foot of snow followed by beautiful blue skies and lows in the single digits would be unbelievable. Based on current climate conditions, wasn’t expecting anything close to what is possible. Take the 25-45 degree negative anomaly FTW. Need cold for any frozen precipitation, and 99 times out of 100 it is on the other side of the planet/country.
  4. Christmas! Took down the main display in the front yard. Left up my ‘winter’ trees ( not sure The Wife bit on that). The backyard lights will be up through any potential winter weather.
  5. I watched Rodney yesterday morning (trace to an inch) and told my wife, 'Look at the 6Z Euro, it shows 8" of snow, there is no way he is right.' Believe it or not, she actually looked at it and quoted it to one of her friends!
  6. I don't have the 'steel jaw trap' memory and recall that many on here have, and even though we only received around 3" total, the raging east wind while it was coming down last night was top-tier. Then walking my boy this morning the biting wind, 25 degrees, and blowing snow with some sun breaking through truly made this one of the better ones. So happy that many of you scored!
  7. I think that this passes the street lamp test? Felida area of Vancouver. IMG_0583.MOV
  8. Longtime lurker and lifelong (over 50 years) resident of KVUO (in honor of the Flowman). I appreciate the insight and knowledge that so many of you have. I am a big weenie when it comes to cold and snow; but a realist in terms of the ‘needle getting threaded’ in the region that I/we live. I have been to many areas of the US on business and minus the clouds and rain , which sometimes is a drag, we win! My profile pic is real- no filters, of Mt Hood on the approach to Portland. How many people in the country can travel to 4 or 5 different and diverse weather and geographical areas with a couple hour drive. I would never want to shovel snow for three months in a row; it would take the excitement out of the possibilities. Based on the 100 pages on this thread, many of you are similar in that belief, I think. Still a lot of time to get to a desirable outcome. I root for the Canadian FTW- not realistic, but why not us? Nothing wrong with cheering for an outcome. Appreciate the Forum Ifred! I have laughed my head off and almost cried in the same day.
