  1. We are in the same boat. I'm coming up on 62 as well and have a decent nest egg. As well as investing financially, I have also been investing in my health through a longevity clinic. I have seen tremendous results over the years in doing so but it doesn't come cheap. Based upon my current health I see no reason why I won't live deep into my 90s. If you forecast inflation out over 30 years of essentially being on a fixed income that decent nest egg doesn't look that robust anymore. Right now I'm thinking retirement at 67 but will revisit that decision along the way. Then again, who knows? The way things are going in this world right now maybe maybe money will become irrelevant. I sure hope that is not the case though.
  2. Cripes, you will be my age now and I'll be 82. Time passes quickly!
  3. That's perfect. I get up at 2:30am and go to bed at 7pm.
  4. 34 degrees and starting to spit snow. We have pretty much been skunked this year so at least this is something. 20240303_061804.mp4
  5. Good morning. 46 degrees, slight breeze and no rain yet. Looking forward to this coming week. It will be interesting weather if nothing else.
  6. Good morning, frosty 30 degrees here just south of Bonney Lake. Looks like a nice day ahead.
  7. I just arrived home. It was awesome. Enjoyed some great food at the Black Cat Cafe. Fairhaven is a wonderful area.
  8. Low of 31 when I woke up at 4am this morning. Now up to 33. Looks like it will be a decent day fr the drive to Bellingham to visit my daughter.
  9. I agree 100 percent! I'm 61 as well and had the time of my life growing up back then. I wouldn't trade those days for anything.
  10. When I left home this morning at 3am it was 25 degrees and just a light dusting of snow. The light snow didn't surprise me but I was expecting much colder. Even though we got skunked in the snow department there is still plenty of winter left. Just need to keep the faith.
  11. Good lord people, we are still six days out. How many times in the past have we seen these models go back and forth? There is no way I would personally put stock in ANY model this far out. We are still way too far out to know one way or another how this will end up playing out.
  12. It was 29 when I woke up at 4:30am. Up to 31 now. Still a nice, frosty morning.
  13. 33 degrees this morning and frost starting to form on the grass. As much as I would like to see snow I just don't think it will be realistic today.
  14. 28 degrees this morning. I'll take it. This has been a beautiful thanksgiving weekend.
  15. 26 degrees this morning. Another beautiful day on tap.
  16. Good morning. Down to 27 so far. Should be a nice day ahead.
  17. I no sooner finished typing and the rain and wind hit. Very strong burst. Exciting way to start the day.
  18. Lost power at about 1:30am. Drug the generator out after sitting for months. Started first pull. Have to love Honda reliability. I don't know exactly what time the power came back. When I woke up at 4:30am I could see the street light down the road back on. I think this is going to be a fun and active fall/winter season.
  19. Good morning, 28 degrees his morning for a second day in a row. Yesterday was beautiful. Hoping for a repeat today.
  20. Good morning. Currently 28 here south of Bonney Lake. I'm excited to see what this winter has planned for us.
  21. Had a few random drops of rain so far this morning. Now it looks as if the sun is trying to break through. Maybe we will have better luck this afternoon or evening.
  22. Just had an ever so light sprinkle come through. I think that is about all we are going to get for the day.
  23. That is excellent. Been there 38 years myself. Some ups and downs but overall it was a good ride and provided a good life for my family.
