  1. It's been rough for sure. Ice is finally starting to melt now as it warms and around 90 outages got fixed. Would have been an interesting night if the cold had stayed later.
  2. Everything but the roads are covered in 1/8th of an inch of ice with moderate rain coming down. Power has been out for almost two hours now and the outage map is exploding in the Fraser Valley.
  3. Sitting at only 3 inches in Pitt Meadows so I took a drive out to Agassiz to experience the frigid -27C (-16F) windchill at 9am. Its so cold I had a rat run into my home as soon as I opened my door. Luckily my roommate and I were able to corner it into a box for release .
  4. 32 degrees with light wet snow in Metchosin. Managed to pick up a trace over the night. Looks like my place in Pitt Meadows is doing a lot better.
  5. Woke up to go to the bathroom and discovered every room in my basement suite has soaked carpet and the water just keeps getting higher outside in the fields around my place.
  6. Freezing level got fairly low last night in the Fraser Valley.
  7. A couple pics from a Thanksgiving hike up to Rohr Lake up by Pemberton BC. Hoping for lots of snow in Pitt Meadows BC this year!
  8. Been following the PNW weather forum everyday for 3 years and decided I would post some pictures of the impressive snowpack on the backside of Golden Ears this winter. I'm sure a lot of you guys can see this mountain from Washington, this is the view from the other side.
