  1. 15 degrees here in Lynnwood. We may have hit 20, but most of the day it was 17 today. We got 1.5" of snow yesterday and we still have a nice layer. I'm happy.
  2. Ahhhh...December 2008 was pretty sweet. So was 1990. And 1996. I'd just like to add Thanksgiving Week 1985.
  3. Hi there! Popping back in after a lovely summer to see if I should be depressed about the approaching winter. Loved the recent downpour here (north of Seattle), but the warm temps leave me wondering if true winter will ever come. So many times over the years we've already had one or two snowfalls by this time. Anyhow...I love to come here to see what the experts think.
  4. Been snowing here and there in Lynnwood all morning, but now it's coming down like crazy!! So beautiful. Sure, it's not the big event we hoped for, but the snow is so much fun and just lovely, and I'm thrilled we even got something to look at at all. I love the snow!
  5. I was pretty excited sometime in the night (between 3-5am) when I looked out my window to see about 3" of snow, the streets covered. I wondered how I might get to my appointment in Mill Creek later today. And then, when I woke up at 6am and looked out, I was so disappointed. Already the streets were clearing, and now they are bare and wet. Yes, there is snow to look at, but I fear it will be gone by noon. *sigh*
  6. 38 in Lynnwood and snowing! (Ok, maybe that's not the technical term, but it looks like snow and that's good enough for me.)
  7. Woke up to about an inch of snow in Lynnwood, and to 2 trucks plowing SLUSH in the parking lot at the high school across the street for over an hour. Sounded like airplanes continually taking off. What a ridiculous waste of money, time, and sleep! But...looks pretty out there. I know it won't last long. Can't wait for Round #2, whenever that is!!
  8. Was 23 in Lynnwood when I woke up at 6am this morning, and is currently 31 and overcast.
  9. Ahh! Thank you! I was trying to work it out, and figured East Puget Sound, but couldn't get that L!
  10. Thank you everyone who posted with your wise counsel. She is staying put in Portland and can hopefully head out in the daylight tomorrow.
  11. Hello, Need some quick advice. My daughter is in Portland for work (just finished) and is wondering if it's safe for her to drive home to Lynnwood. She said snow is sticking to the streets. She's wondering if she should overnight in Portland and head back tomorrow, or make a break for it right now. Your thoughts?
  12. YES!!! The 14th is my birthday. Snow on that day was a crazy awesome gift!!
  13. 28 degrees in Lynnwood, and the walkway out my front door is a sheet of ice. I tested it, but wasn't willing to take more than the one step. I'm not sure how anyone is driving out there. It looks like the street is just wet, but I'm sure it's frozen.
  14. Same here in Lynnwood. Very pretty and peaceful. Is there really chaos coming??
  15. My sister used to live in Highlands Ranch! Lovely area.
  16. Today held steady at 23 in Lynnwood. Right now it's 22.
