I think I've mentioned before that my county (Johnson) is probably the most leftist in the whole state because of Iowa City here being a university town. Tells you all you need to know. But my mostly rural precinct was a landslide for Trump.

My records show it started snowing around midday on the 1st and ending as light snow in a.m. of the 3rd. I think there was at least one break and not continuous snow. I ended up with approximately 13" total snowfall and 1.40" liquid equivalent!

I agree that it's concerning, and I've noticed this for many years that official precipitation amounts in surrounding towns are often less than what I have, especially, and mainly in the winter months with frozen precip. events. I've seen it so often that I really don't believe even official NWS reports. Any automated rain gauges are a joke even with heaters installed and those windbreaks or deflectors or whatever you call them. I've had a heater in my Davis electronic gauge for years and finally gave up on it as it's pretty much worthless except when there's no wind and it's near freezing, and even then the heat will evaporate some of the precip. as it melts. It's a hassle and quite a bit of work (but interesting) to try and accurately record frozen precip! I like the cocorahs 4" gauges or any similar manual gauges with that innner tube, though no gauge, especially electronic, is 100% accurate in all situations. People who want to record accurately need to get out and physically work at checking manual gauges during frozen events! But we know it's not always possible if you work away from home, but I'll check any time of the night of necessary. Rant over for now!

Referring to the last sentence....That's always pretty much considered normal most years for most of KY. At least that's how I would expect it to be.

Really!? That's near where my sister lives. They were saying that it looks like it snowed a quite a bit out there. They are heading home today after being here for Thanksgiving.

I ended up with only 2.9" of snow. Gauge catch liquid equivalent is 0.22" while core samples yielded 0.24". It looks pretty.

The last few years had lots of long boring stretches of dry weather here, including this month! But I've seen many wet years too and had wondered when things would average out a bit more, and for that we'd need multiple dryer years.

I immediately noticed that you left out the part when Trump said "peacefully and patriotically". The mainstream media usually leave that part out too. Trump never expected the crowd to get out of control and actually enter the White House, but there were agitators in the crowd like Ray Epps and others dressed as Trump supporters who worked them up and tried to get them to breach the barricades, etc. and some capitol police on the inside were actually opening doors and showing people around once they were inside. No candidate is without his faults, but since he is being relentlessly attacked from all sides, that's the one I know I will support.
