  1. Another dusting of snow here this morning. Didn't bother going out to measure but probably only 0.25" when I woke up a few minutes ago. Up to 33 so the melt is on.
  2. The roads were covered an hour ago and then as soon as the precip rates let up a bit it melted off. The beauty of spring snow!
  3. Our temp is actually slowly rising. We were down to 31.4 but now we are up to 32.7 despite continued moderate snowfall.
  4. Forgot to mention, I was night skiing up at Snoqualmie last night (which was my first time up for the season due to a busy quarter). The snow was dumping at the start of the night leaving a couple of inches of fresh powder and I was shocked to see how dry the powder was for the cascades. I havent skied powder that dry since my freshman year in Utah. It's been a good winter season all around!
  5. The convergence zone really helps us out here (as it did last month)! I also this access to east winds helps but we are far enough away where the atmosphere doesn't stay too dry when precip reaches us. I'm hoping to research some of the Puget Sound micro-climates once I get further into my atmos classes. We had 40" for the 2008-2009 season with the help of some strong CZ's as well.
  6. Had 36" for the month of February. Up to 37.5" for the season as of yesterday. Would love to get above 40" but I doubt that will happen.
  7. Yup! Still in the same spot. This cell has just been parked over us! It's let up a little bit but the snow is still dumping. Although it looks like its sliding slightly eastward in the last few frames. That is such a bummer, hopefully you guys can get in on the action soon!
  8. For sure. I was pretty surprised to see that band had just started when I woke up to find that everything was covered.
  9. Dumping snow here. Feels like the heaviest i've seen all season. 31 degrees with snow covered roads about 15 minutes after it started. 0.5" in 20 minutes.
  10. Snow just stopped here with a total of 1.5". Definitely a nice coating to make everything look nice and fresh again!
  11. Back to all snow NE of Redmond at 34.1 Makes it a bit more pleasant to shovel in versus the rain.
  12. It's switched over to drizzle here NE of Redmond at 32.8
  13. Time to start shoveling... http://i66.tinypic.com/1zftz74.jpg
  14. Ended up with 13" of snow in the past 24 hours. There's generally about 24" on the ground but more in some spots where there was some drifting yesterday. Currently sitting at 32.4 with a light rain snow mix and listening to the cracking of branches in the woods behind me. Looks like its going to be a busy day of shoveling out my driveway again.
  15. I lurk occasionally! School has kept me pretty busy but I've had snow days so I had to hop on for this storm!
  16. 8.5" NE of Redmond at 550ft for this evening. There's generally about 16-21" on the ground depending on the surface and amount of shade it received after the first snow. 31" So far for the month. SE wind are helping keep us between 29 and 30 degrees. I'm skeptical of how long it will last but am enjoying it for now!
  17. Its been pretty snowy up there most of this winter, right? My dad just finished a flip at 1000ft in Riverbend and all the snow this winter has kept putting them behind schedule.
  18. Yeah its pretty good compared to most, above 500ft and around where the CZ forms. Would be better if we had more elevation though, but there are plenty of times where i'll have a few inches of snow and drive 200ft down from my house and there won't be any snow.
  19. Long time since I've signed in here. Ended up getting a little over 8" here NE of Redmond at 550ft. Not too shabby. Side roads were an absolute mess this morning but all main roads in the area are clear. From my deck Monday morning:
  20. Got a dusting of snow here in Salt Lake on the east bench. Also had some thunderstorms when I was down in Arizona last Sunday.
  21. Yes they did! My morning class was cancelled yesterday so I went skiing, 6" of fresh powder!
  22. Yeah, really boring. Snow was really crappy up at Park City yesterday. But it was interesting, there were quite a few trees down on the slopes. I'm assuming they came down in the cold front passage a week and a half ago.
  23. Warmer than I was expecting today. 56 at the MTMET station, 54 at the WBB, 56 at KSLC. Wendover made it up to 61 and Tooele made it up to 59.
