I really love wet periods this time of year. Everything is so lush and green/blooming, and the way the rain smells. The contrast of brooding dark skies and a vibrant landscape. Totally different vibe than rainy periods October-March.

Ended up with a 63/47 day here. Morning mix of clouds and sun then more overcast starting later in the afternoon with some spots of drizzle. Looking forward to the rain tomorrow.

Double dipper trough trouble on the 00z Andrew.

It’s true. There’s really nothing nothing in life that’s worth fretting about aside from record MIN/MAX’s in May/June. The rest is just gravy, baby. Embrace the chaos.

@Frontal Snowsquall has got to be pretty happy with how effectively he’s helped derail this morning’s convo away from weather

Don’t like where the operational 12z GFS goes in the long range. But the ensemble mean and control look solid.

You can see the big break over the PORTLAND METRO on visible satellite

Kinda ridiculously sunny so far today considering the forecast.

Actually you didn’t. Looks like nicknames for Richard are censored here.

How have temps been out that way? I imagine warm days but the nights have stayed chilly.

What’s really notable is how routinely they’ve been exceeding guidance by up to 3-4 degrees this spring. I think even Mediterranean Mark only had them at 74 for yesterday.

Took advantage of a weekday off to get a nice Columbia Gorge sampler in yesterday, with a focus on the Little White Salmon area. Big Cedars County Park, Spirit Falls and hidden wildflower spot near Home Valley

Ended up with a 75/45 day here yesterday. Sunny and warm with high clouds and times and a cooling breeze in the evening. Looking at the 500mb pattern I wouldn’t have called it a setup where PDX would make a run at 80 but there it was. Looks like VUO put up a 76/41 day.

We are of the same mind this fine morning, brother Andrew.

The only one I’ve been to was in Las Vegas. It was solidly mid. No cap.

You just got yourself on the dogsh*t list…

I looked up the founders of the weather channel. Looks like they’re both dead.

Did a road trip to Minnesota with my brother the middle of that month. We camped a few nights in Yellowstone on the way. It was Also camped in Glacier on the way back. It snowed.

That’ll probably be the next time we see this map from you too, in that case. Don’t worry, I’ll take over

Well this really backfired.

True, but I will still write long winded manifestos every single chance I get!
