Did Jim not say it was going to be wet? I'm not sure, he's so detached from reality. He scoffed at my prediction the WV would not see any sub-80 highs. He was acting like "Even TWL will see some chilly days." At least when Phil messes up on a forecast he sticks around to face the music.

He seems to be stuck in a troughtastic fantasy. I think I had some flurries whatever day we had some clouds come in that morning but it all melted by 9am.  So far Jim's big trough is pretty warm.

Yeah... I don't think he ever feels down about the models now no matter what they show.   Everything is always amazing.

And there is really nothing hot in the models right now so that is not why he is taking a break.

What I'm saying is as soon as something silly comes in clown range he will  have something funny to chime. I heard you say it several days a go yourself that Snow seems to be mostly interested in extreme cold range. I do love his ocean statements though about conditions going on.

I used to listen to him in 2019, especially when he was picking up on news of how bad the plant was that season. He kind of got bad when his wife started to do the updates and things were mispronounced, when he started to blame YouTube for the lack of views, or when they added a lot of sound effects and visual pizzazz.

He's ok, but he isn't Robert Felix.

Except unlike Robert Felix he no longer is afraid to mention there is a climate change going on. Just that it's not man made which goes against the narrative of 'Deniers' vs 'Believers'.  It throws that entire argument into the ole rubbish bin where it belongs.  \

Robert helps (either inadvertently or on purpose) fuels the 'Deniers' vs 'Believers' false debate as he only focuses on cold spots usually some remote mountain nobody's heard of or gives a flying F about.  Grand Solar Minimum while also missing some of the necessary data gets into the bigger picture.

Robert based everything largely from his own perceptions and reading.  Like many private researchers, he wasn't perfect but Robert brought people's attention to the change in the air, so to speak, that was coming literally decades before we began to see them.  He was researching in the early and mid 90's.  His global view was a reminder to me that what happens here, is only a small part of a very big picture that reaches out in the solar system and our planet is so heavily affected by that bright thing in the sky!  I'm going to miss his posts.

Grand Solar Minimum is a good one to fill the gap. He just had a thing about global warming which clears up media misinformation and actual science and in the video mentions the 'Great Pacific Northwest Heatwave'. Here I skipped over to the 'data crunching' as he gets stuck on solar activity the first 20 mins.  He reminds me of a non alarmist Robert Felix while pretending to.............well I won't spoil the punchlines.

Yeah....July 1906 was a hot one in the NW.  Awesome January the next winter as well.

The dishonesty surrounding climate change / global warming is insane.  Climate change is ubiquitous in the history of the Earth and sometimes that does involve warming.

They are called useful idiots or lemmings.  Take your pick.  They are told what to say by somebody who is told by somebody, etc.  If they don't do that they are 'let go' as in moving in a different direction.

I enjoyed the site as I found a lot of global weather information I would never have read.
He also encouraged people to join in and many appreciated the community feeling.  If nothing else Robert brought people into the conversation and enjoyed the dialogue.

I enjoy his science articles as the science checks out. GSM you should heck out his video on the PNW heatwave and the true cause of global warming and the fraud behind the modern 'science'.  I won't get into more but it's an eye opener for those who are brainwashed and/or braindead.  He links to the sources in his chatbox so if he says 'I'll put a link in the description right here' and nothing seems to show up it's because you have to unhide the stupid chat box thing.  He seems to be a phone only person from the description of things.  :(   Otherwise all his sources DO check out as well as Robert's sources.

I just don't or didn't like Robert's sensational moments where he becomes Alex Jones of weather in his BREAKING NEWS!!! OMG SNOW IN THE HILLS AROUND MELBOURNE AUSTRALIA!!!😲😲😲 Like that's never happened before.  Now if it snowed in Sydney or even in the outskirts............

Back in February... I assumed spring would be cold and wet in true Nina fashion and summer would be very slow to start and we might get into a nice pattern in August and September.    What else should we expect in the middle of a multi-year Nina during a solar minimum?

It has truly been the complete opposite of what I expected since the beginning of March.  Pretty surreal.

From my eyeballs this looks and feels like a classic El Nino spring/summer.........on steroids? 😕

  8. So this forum turned into 'Scrappy Do' sillyness instead. :(  I still haven't got a clear answer but it seems everyone is high  on something so I am not going to try to speak into a room full of drug addicts and let them all burn with the building on fire.   Hope I can get out in time before the flames reach the kitchen where all the chemicals and weight scales are.

I’m just going to comment on the 1st paragraph and the first sentence of the second one because the rest I agree with it.

And let me be clear that I’m not accusing you of anything. But do you see where the problem lies though Jim with your assessment when it comes to the models? This is what I was alluding to when you posted about the GFS surface temperatures a few days back.

I find myself having a hard time getting trusting the GFS regardless of the season we are dealing, but if you are going to discount its surface output and say “we don’t know how the rest of the summer will play out” —- then you should not also spike the football in the wintertime when this same model shows ridiculous cold surface temperatures. Your continuous “HOLY … the GFS gets REAL COLD at the run, I love the chance of it verifying ” or “I have a good feeling going forward to winter because of a cold October” etc…. is kinda opposite with what you’re saying in your post above about how we don’t know how summer will play out.  Because to simply put, we don’t know how anything is going to play out.

You disappear when the cold don’t work in your favor in the wintertime and kept quiet with the model but is very much to criticizing the model and the people when it’s wrong in the summertime!

Dont hype up the cold season then criticize people for predicting a warmer summer then call them out on it. Don’t take it personally with what I said, you do have a great reputation here and I like you.

Assuming I'm not shadowbanned and you can see this I know I sound like an annoying fly but what your saying reminds me of the 'Switch Pro' channels even the ones that 'back up' their claims from cited sources.  I have heard no less then 300 times this spring that 'NEW SWITCH PRO LEAK PROVES IT'S CLOSER THEN WE THINK' which turns out to be false advertising.

This is how Jim's 'model' forecast turns out like the elusive Switch Pro which will be a new machine by the time we get it rather then a mere 'upgrade to 4K' or whatever.

Did he really just claim the northwest is not in a drought... Wait this reminds me of something he said in 2015. lol

This is how Robert Felix operates a lot on his website with his 'breaking news' articles.  I used to just read it for the shits and giggles.

By Next Monday SLE probably be at 7 90+ highs on the month. Looks like 93 tomorrow. And another 3-pack starting Friday.

Should I change the batteries of the 3 pack? :)  Maybe that will stop the 90sF from chirping and we will cool off too. FIRST ALERT BRK 9120B-3 Hardwired Smoke Alarm with Backup Battery, 3 Pack, White, 3 Count" - - Amazon.com
