  1. Here's to hoping man. I believe our wait is going to pay huge dividends over the next 8 weeks.
  2. Yeah. Something pretty epic is going to happen this month. January through February 1978 was the longest observed continuous snowcover in eastern Oklahoma history. 33 days. Possibly passed only by the winter of 1917-18 but I don't have daily reports for that. Hoping for a big storm. All signs point to it. Just gotta make it happen.
  3. Exactly. Also, if you lock in based solely on modeling, your best bet is to throw out the outlier. I called the Euro an outlier 3 days ago. He's a professional. He should have had the wherewithal to do the same.
  4. I'll be pulling for all of you up there to get some great snow. I'm going to be a little more selfish next round though. Lol
  5. Yeah. There are trees falling over in my road right now actually. Luckily though, my yard is pretty rocky so I don't have to worry about any of my bigger trees falling. Maybe a couple of branches hitting my house though.
  6. No kidding man. I've been saying the same thing all day. Maybe January or February will bring this one back with the Arctic air to back it up.
  7. Sitting at 10.75 inches of precip for the total duration of this storm so far (About 28 hours). The Illinois river at Watts, OK is .3 feet away from breaking it's all time flood record. Pretty crazy down here right now. All major highways nearby are shut down somewhere except one. Now the wind is blowing about 30-40 mph. Quite a day.
  8. Sorry. Thought I posted them in the right place.
  9. In a post from weatherbell earlier from Joe D, all signs point to something pretty big and wintry coming up the 11th and 12th for my backyard. That's enough to hope for at the moment.
  10. That's pretty amazing. Just gotta get storms underneath.
  11. Up to 7.75 inches of rain down here. Still pouring. Lots of flooding.
  12. I know, obviously, that the Euro is the best in the business but it's skill scores crash too. It's struggling pretty hard right now.
  13. Euro has been the outlier from the early parts of tracking this storm. No surprise that it still is. GFS scores the coup.
  14. Up to 5.3 inches of rain down here on the OK/AR state line. No sign of slowing down. This sucks. Wettest year in Oklahoma history goes in the books January 1 for sure now. Meanwhile, wildfires in Ventura California today. Lol. Typical El NiƱo huh? Lol
  15. Pretty sad to hear about the tornado deaths tonight.
  16. That's very interesting guys. Going to give it a read when I get a chance.
  17. Pretty stout little tornado outbreak occurring down here right now.
  18. Something about this storm that makes me aggravated. If all this rain were anywhere east of here, this would be one of the most over covered hype and panic storms for flooding anywhere on the news. But it's Oklahoma, a foot of rain, probably historic river flooding and flooding in many other areas. Nothing to see here folks. Lol. I guess Oklahoma/Arkansas don't really generate the ratings like South Carolina does.
  19. I really think we will be ok in mid January through February. We'll see though.
