    January 2012 was a massive snow event up here. November 2006 was pretty legit too. We can score big time when the arctic air hangs up around Olympia and cold onshore flow is streaming copious moisture inland to the south.

    Yeah the October 2002 blast was very impressive in Oregon. -11 at Seneca, -7 at Burns, 17 in Eugene.

    Biggest mistake anyone can make is paying any attention to the EURO. Looks like 850s bottomed out at +0.6C at SLE yesterday at 12z according to my sources.

    As of noon Great Falls had 18.8" storm total and 9" on the ground. Looks like the snow ended around 6p local time there, so they may have gotten 20".

    I will say. Given until the past few days only a couple nights had fallen below 50, these days do feel pretty chilly!

    Also 2006 had very cold air at the end of October (16 at EUG), and a cold snap at the end of November. January 2007 was pretty decent.
