This board isn’t about predicting what is going to happen but rather to discuss the ways EPIC and HISTORIC may happen — no matter how slim the chances. That’s fine but trying to present the constantly-incorrect info as anything other than wishcasting does a disservice to anyone reading these threads hoping for accurate information. All of the busted models — that the “experts” keep going back to — and cries to wait 2 more weeks remind me of another current event in the news LOL!

Good call, man! Nice to see some objective calls on this board for those of us coming here to see what we may be facing weather-wise in the near and long terms.

The BEST winter ever continues! I LOVE it! Hardly any snow, cold or wind at all; though I could do without the lake effect clouds. Sunshine is good for the soul! No amount of back-loading will make up for the wishcasting failures that called for an EPIC winter with comps to some of the most HISTORIC on record. I can’t stop laughing reading the first posts in this thread. Don’t quit your day jobs, folks! That said, I fully expect this pattern to flip at some point and lead to a miserable late-winter when I am expecting to see some signs of SPRING. Seems that has been the norm the past few years — you winter nuts don’t get the cold at the right time to do the most damage and destruction possible and I don’t get to start thinking about taking the boat out of storage until Memorial Day. Think spring, boys!

BREAKING NEWS: It finally snowed ... in southeast Texas and Louisiana LOL! So wishcasting for a pattern change weeks ago was somewhat correct — just a bit outside on the region though Already Jan. 10. Winter is going FAST. Time to start thinking spring! Baseball and boating is right around the corner and I, for one, couldn’t be more excited. Maybe I can start doing some wishcasting for warm weather in March — there has to be a model showing it somewhere, right? I am calling it now: signs pointing to an EPIC repeat of March 2012. 80-degree temps, sunshine and NO SNOW all throughout the month. Think spring, boys. It’s the only shot you winter nuts have at keeping your sanity at this point

Another EPIC, ALL-TIME week of winter weather ahead LOL! Who would have guessed that the one, cherry-picked model from 2 weeks ago would have been incorrect? And who would have guessed that the same wishcasters will be in this thread doing the same thing all week while they look out their window and see ABOVE AVERAGE temperatures and NO SNOW LOL!

LOVING the start to this winter! Was on my BOAT last week ... in Michigan ... in December! You’d never know we haven’t even had an inch of snow yet looking at the wishcasting going on for 20 pages in this thread LOL ... it’s gonna’ “flip” next week though (fart noises). You’d think seeing the same people be wrong over and over and over again would get tiring and less funny to me — but no, here I am cracking up almost to the point of tears. My wife wants a white Christmas — no thanks. If I want to get her hopes up, however, I’ll give her this link so she can see wishcasting with cherry-picked models that never turn out.
