  1. Good band in South Central Iowa with huge flakes falling and accumulating quickly.
  2. Looks like a couple more bands, one in south central Iowa, near me, and one just southwest of DMX might be developing. Light snow has just started falling here.
  3. 3 more inches of fluff in Albia since noon on Sunday. Running out of places to put it, hope none of these systems have much wind with them or we will have a full fledged ground blizzard around here that we haven't seen in a long, long time.
  4. With these waves coming through over the next 5-6 days, is there going to be much wind involved. Are these true clippers with wind and reinforcing shots of cold? Our ditches in south central Iowa are full, if there is wind involved with these, the impact to county paved and gravel roads is going to be tough to deal with.
  5. From KCCI-hopefully trooper is ok. Lucky car didn’t get completely smashed. They say the pileup goes for miles. Just west of Newton on I-80.
  6. Better image of I-80Westbound just west of Newton. That's going to take awhile. Hope and pray everyone is ok. Numerous major roads in the eastern half of Iowa are now blocked due to accidents.
  7. Best i can get off the Iowa DOT cam just east of Newton on I-80. Looks nasty, numerous vehicles involved.
  8. Measured just over 3 inches in Albia with light snow and major blowing and drifting continuing. Its bad in town, wouldn't want to be on any roads right now. Hwy 63 between New Sharon and Oskaloosa is now closed. Ditches are now completely full so anymore snow/wind combo storms are going to get really tough to deal with around here.
