  1. Looks like we got to score for once. Couple inches on the grass here. Schools are all closed for the day.
  2. Warm roads kill all hope of snow forever in life. We all know that.
  3. Listen, you're the winner in this thing, we all already know it, so let the rest of us justify our feelings however we see sit lol... but seriously, enjoy it... this one is meant for you.
  4. Just dropped below 40 here. Maybe this thing has a chance. I will say, some people forget the models tell us what falls, not what sticks, and it's february.
  5. This is a super weird situation. All the normal indicators, like temp and dewpoint, say this should not be a situation where we'd expect snow. That being said, I get weird skin irritation when we get cold dry air and its been driving me nuts all day. Plus, I have ponies, and they are super good at knowing when they need more of a certain type of hay to generate extra needed warmth, and they have been going nuts over it for a couple days now. Plus my dog, who is also super weather sensitive, has pushed out some extra warm coating the last few days. I feel like the animals that are designed to know ahead of time when snow and cold might hit are preparing, and they obviously don't give a crap what the models say.
  6. Day 731 of waiting for snow: Today was ok. It warmed to 35 degrees, then snowed for about 2 and a half minutes. That's about the same as I got yesterday, as well as at the beginning of this cold snap. Mom burned the tendies while trying to count the 17 snowflakes we saw. Somehow the convergence zone dissolved and reformed, completely skipping me, as per usual. Tomorrow precip looks like it will start around 8am. Maybe tomorrow is finally the day. Goodnight, Journal.
  7. I'm not all that sure. Seems the precip dried up as soon as the snow started. Now we're at 35 with drizzle.
  8. Big heavy flakes now. I wonder if we can manage any stickage today.
  9. Schools have gone off the deep end with that crap. My kids school is 2hrs late today and releasing 1hr early. What is even the point? Don't even get me started on their new rules for illness. Then, of course, they have the nerve to chastise parents when your kid misses school due to their illness rules, after they just made them miss 2 freakin years due to covid.
  10. Temp says 30 but nothing seems to be frozen. If you go outside, it just feels like a typical rain event. Odd.
  11. I once had a step-daddy, he was about one of oh say five of 'em. He came from Idaho, back where they grow taters n stuff and he once told me, "Boy, once you see that silver thaw of the freezin' rain, then you know it be spring comin' upon us soon." That's when I knew, we would get ZR tonight.
  12. Upper air has shifted a bit in a way that favors places with the east wind right now in the EPSL
  13. Is that even a debate? If it rains and freezes 85 minutes later but while its still raining, its still freezing rain.
