It's like that quote from Holes "Once upon a time, there was a place that never rained. The End!" -Mr Sir

68.5F outside and clear. Perfect day. The east wind was blowing in the morning, just enough to blow our blackout curtains and get us up but not too early. We went to Moscow, and enjoyed the sunshine, Moscow bagel, some ice cream from Panhandle Cone and Coffee, and enjoyed the placid weather. SW Windstorm is coming tonight. Just a slight breeze at the moment though.

Frost advisory has been issued for the Lower Garfield and Asotin zone by NWS Spokane! A freeze warning was issued by NWS Pendleton to our west.

Is there any place for April? It and May look similar.

This is such a bad article and doesn't take into account local conditions or wildfires. How can you accurately predict that Seattle will have three weeks of bad air at this point? https://mynorthwest.com/3957635/brace-yourself-for-weeks-of-poor-air-quality-in-2024-seattle-residents/

Today was about 50F here.

I imagine the abnormally dry in far Eastern CA gets most of their rains with the monsoons?

Today's our wedding anniversary and it's shaping up to be a nice day. A few high clouds but sunny. My wife is taking her driving test today. She had to take the written also.

That was a great read. It looks like Seattle will just barely miss out. Totality starts about Lakewood and the center of it is near Longview. Portland will be in Totality for that one. Of course things could change due to drift or other factors maybe? https://eclipsewise.com/solar/SEcirc/2101-2200/SE2169Jun25Tcirc.html https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/map/2169-june-25

That's my son's bday but even if he has kids they probably won't live that long. Also I checked. That eclipse is a hybrid eclipse. In the Western Pacific there are parts that are total but in North America it is just an annular eclipse and Bellingham is the center. Seattle isn't in the annulairity (?). There are at least three annular eclipses in Oregon, including at least one very close to Portland. 2045 in Norcal or 2044 in Alberta will be our best bets.

My parents are in Ennis, just south of Dallas and were at my sister's SIL's ranch. The clouds were heavy in the morning but cleared in the last hour and got a spectacular view. All the animals went inside and they sent me a photo. I told them to drive safe with a big storm coming.

Getting some intense flashes.
-
Had a loud crack of thunder and several flashes of lightning. Son slept though that loud blast with the windows open.

Look like it's 60, not 70F.

70F outside and mostly clear skies. I'm a bit sick today so I'm getting some sunshine and Vitamin D. It is great.
