  1. As for grades, I'm not sure how I'd rank it for my location. Last winter was maybe a C-. Lots of little snows of like .20 each time, more than this year but this year had a better month (January) for me. I'm only about half an inch better than last year but considering the arctic front with over a week below freezing highs, almost 6 inches of snow depth, thunder snow, and a more seasonable first frost I'm giving the winter a B+ so far. But if I don't get anymore snow of an inch or more then maybe I'll keep it a B. It's also an El Nino year. The only really unique thing about last year was having the first snowfall come before the first frost and being just a day late of trick of treating in the snow.
  2. Had a brief 5 min sunshower of snow just a few mins back. The WU station near me says 38F.
  3. Much better than you had last night. Last I had heard you had like 7 inches on WW. Glad you finally get a winter!
  4. Please measure for us! @TigerWoodsLibido did you get anything measurable? Please I want to know!
  5. You probably have at least 1.5-2 doing a sidewalk eyeball test. Maybe an inch minimum based on my criteria for taking my son to school via sled. What does your husband think of the snow? Did he grow up with snow? @MWG
  6. I'm thrilled for you. Didn't that happen last year too before a ruler turned up. Nice photo. I'm so excited for you and @Dave. @TigerWoodsLibido did you get anything measurable?
  7. https://truckeetahoeairport.com/webcam This is one of my favorite cams.
  8. I know tomorrow is a Saturday, but try to let us know if you get any overnight snow before it melts.
  9. Rained turned to snow. Very wet so not much stickage and in the mid 30's.
  10. Wanted to post because it's Feb 29th! Currently 36F. Does anyone have any fun leap day weather stories, weather history on this date, leap day memories or know someone who has/had a bday today? What do they do in off years?
  11. Rooting for you hard this week. I don't mind not getting anything if it gets you, Tiger, and MWG.
  12. @MWG if you get anything please let us know.I hope I don't jinx you! Same goes for anyone else in Eugene south.
  13. One question I've always had. Why do some maps have light blue starting at 1 inch and others at 2?
  14. I would actually call that a win for Auburn. They can get snow but it's rare compared to Colfax which is like North Bend or maybe Snoqualmie (the town) or wherever the snow line usually is during major winter events. I have a few friends in Colfax, they get snow a few times each winter winter, but Auburn only gets them occasionally. Colfax is usually where Caltrans sets-up chain controls or closures if going east. I do recall Auburn getting like 3-4 inches during that system that brough lowland snow to CA last Feb.
  15. Had a third of an inch after midnight. O.3 so my current total is 14.6 for the season.
  16. FInally went out to measure tonight. Wasn't motivated but we have 0.20 of snow with probably 70% graupel and 30% snow. Up to 14.3 for the season.
  17. Yeah! We have two rocking chairs and a kids chair that doesn't rock but slides (think one of those barstool types). It's great in the summer.
