  1. I wonder if the freezing rain coming will keep our snowpack in place for longer. It's been a pretty great stretch with snow on the ground.
  2. I saw an unofficial temp of -54 at Chester, MT from the National High/Low temp page. If that's verified then that would be their coldest temperature behind January 1950 (-57) and January 1909 (-55). I don't know if the stations are in the same locations though so it could be different.
  3. It's been a really amazing stretch. Had a bit less than you I think, about 3" here, but none of it has melted.
  4. Roads are covered in snow, no melting happened today in the sun. Solid 3" depth on average. 30/21 so far today, I think we could get a midnight low. We were at 14 degrees during the storm so hopefully we can get colder tomorrow morning. Overall I'd definitely say this has been my favorite stretch of winter weather since January 2017
  5. Just went on a walk, snow is sticking around really nicely
  6. Really amazing winter day today. Solid snow cover with a decent depth and low 20s all day. 25/15 today after 20/14 with the 20 being a midnight high. Luckily we never lost power once in the past two days.
  7. Max temp for today at PDX is still 23, if that holds then it'll be 23/17 there today after a 21/15 day yesterday.
  8. Hopefully we clear out nicely by tonight. With solid snow/sleet cover maybe we could see some really cold lows
  9. Yeah, the combination of snow/cold/wind was amazing. Looks like our snow should last today and tomorrow, hopefully we get some clearing for colder lows
  10. Just measured, 3" of compacted snow/sleet, with drifts 6-8". Should last around, and maybe freezing rain will keep it around even longer. Really amazing event. Conditions were crazy, blizzard winds and temps in the teens 20240113_102524.mp4
  11. Looks like it's mostly back to snow now, some moisture approaching from the south. The HRRR shows the moisture wrapping back around for a couple inches later on
