  1. Still a ways to go this month but looking like atleast IMBY July might end up with less +80 and +85 days than June had. Highly likely we will have less 90s June had 3.
  2. My guess is it’ll probably be a few weeks before it really gets bad. Really just depends on if we get some heat and significant offshore flow or if we maintain weak/moderate onshore flow. If the latter ends up being the dominant factor the next few weeks it might not be too bad til later August or September. We will see though if it’s the former could get kinda ugly.
  3. Also just a 61/54 temp spread at the closest station to my house. That’s pretty nutty for mid July.
  4. Was at work in Olympia today inside for most of it unfortunately so couldn’t be outside except for a bit of time but had a couple decent rounds of thunderstorms today. The cool temps rain and thunder was pleasant Will be home to check my weather station but the nearby stations to my house were in the 0.15-0.25” range. Looked like a couple decent storms rolled through the KP as well.
  5. 06z runs this morning across the board were in very good agreement regarding an thunderstorm outbreak. In general moving closer to what the euro has been showing for days now.
  6. Not home til Friday but looks like thr nearby station pulled off a 80/46 temp spread. I love living in a non UHI area that gets larger temp spreads.
  7. The meteorological ingredients will be in place this week…but as it goes almost every time we won’t know til it happens. Think there’s a pretty solid chance some folks will get some storms…but will it be widespread or maybe too far west for most people? Euros had the most dynamic set ups on the past few runs for a large swath of the region.
  8. Not too bad west of the crest for now…73/53 here today. I think we will finally begin to roast next week…been a good run of no A/C.
  9. This is actually fairly decent agreement. Convective stuff is always finicky and I don’t really count on it but every now and then it works out. 18z euro was a pretty decent outbreak.
  10. Looking like Sunday or Monday of next week could be the window for the heat to start up. Still a ways to go hopefully gets tamed down and no 90s. If that’s the case that’s about 4 weeks straight with just one pretty warm day in there on 7/6. That’s a pretty good run for post 2012 summers.
  11. OP euro and gem are both showing something similar. Think the last time July had thunderstorms that I recall was in 2012 and 2014. Typically it’s been May or August/September in recent years…so statistically due.
  12. 75/56 here. Perfect summer day. Hoping for no heatwaves as the weather the last 2-3 weeks has been as good as can be.
  13. Going to be due considering by the time next weekend rolls around it’ll be about a month straight of normal-below normal days. Think Monday this week is really the only day that was a significant positive anomaly.
