  1. That is one silver lining of this tbh. We really confirmed what the new superior model is for anything in the mid and long range. This entire dud of a season, the AIFS has been completely adamant that nothing even remotely cold or snowy would happen. There have been multiple occasions this season where literally every single other model was hinting at cold in the long range, while the AIFS was completely on its own with the nothingburger solution. And guess which model was right every single time? It's also worth noting that the AIFS led the way with our cold shot in February 2025 (that's where my alt Number1AIFSfan came from), so I don't think its accuracy is just a case of it always going for less cold, which due to statistics ends up being right more often than not. I think it's safe to say we have a new king tbh
  2. This is all snow in Puget Sound, and probably mostly snow with maybe a little ice in PDX. The AIGFS also throws us into the freezer almost a full day sooner, and delays the warmup by almost a day as well. Takes it from a 1-2 day little quick hitter to a solid 4 day stretch in the freezer.
  3. God D**n. Absolutely stellar AIGFS run. Coldest 850s we have had inside of day 8 all season. Hell, this is one of the coldest outputs we've had all season at any hour.
  4. If I'm Mike MacDonald, I would onside kick it after our next score just to really give the middle finger to the Niners now
  5. If we blow out the Niners and the Rams on the way to the Super Bowl, where we then crush the Patriots, it would be the most cathartic storyline you could possibly write for Seahawks fans. All the wrongs of the past will be made right. Order restored to the universe.
  6. This is the happiest I have ever been to be completely bored. Well, maybe 2nd only to Super Bowl 48
  7. Yeah what a bummer of a playoff game. Gotta feel for both Denver and Buffalo fans right now. Such shitty luck that he broke his ankle on a kneel of all plays. I genuinely felt awful for Josh Allen when he was crying on the podium too. It must really add insult to injury knowing that you got knocked out of the playoffs for absolutely nothing. On the bright side, I'm glad we don't have to play the Bills in the Superbowl if we get there because I would feel super guilty cheering to have their souls crushed once again. I want to beat a team that everyone hates. Give us the Patriots.
  8. Man beforehand I had a feeling this game was going to be a blowout, but I didn't want to say anything since I thought I must be delusional. Still can't believe how incredible this season has been. And it was supposed to be a rebuilding year, too. We're spoiled lol
  9. Can you imagine if that first incompletion from Purdy actually had been a fumble? Lmao
  10. Bummer. 18z AIGEFS got way worse, and the 18z GEFS are a little worse. Only 4 cold members on the AIGEFS now, and 5 on the GEFS. I guess this is starting to get into the range where the deterministic models are more useful though, so eh, whatever
  11. Fwiw on the AIGFS, this should all fall as snow from OLM north, and probably as ice from PDX north. Only bummer is it warms up immediately afterward on Monday morning. But also with their climo bias and tendency to overly water down the more anomalous events, I wouldn't be surprised if the AI models wanted to scour the cold air out too quickly here. Peak upper level cold on Saturday:
  12. Gotta say I did not expect this one to still have signs of life, yet also still be wildly uncertain at this stage. I'm sure we don't notice it as much when this happens with mundane weather, but this feels super late for there to be so much model uncertainty still. Liking the trends though for sure. Also, per the EPS we still have a 4% chance of a historic, long lasting event with multiple feet of snow lol. The Seahawks had worse odds in the 4th quarter to win the last Rams game, and we all know how that went!
  13. REEEEEEEE SUN ANGLES REEEEEEEEEE REEEEEEEEEEEE REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
  14. Welp at least we can make our peace with this chance being over now too. On to February I guess, but I'm kind of out of delusional optimism at this point lol. Hopefully having a dud year gets some bad juju out of the way for next year at least.
