  1. I remember posting on The Western Weather Forums back in 2007. I think my screen name was Purcell Trench or something like that. You and I had a bit of a tussle in 2009. I didn't post much after that. I joined the new forum in 2016 as snow drift. I posted here and there. You and I, for whatever reason, have never gotten along. I can't figure out what your problem is. I don't have any problem with you. If I have wronged you in the past, please forgive me. I just want to live at peace with everyone. I think I may mostly lurk from now on. I'll view the site solely for information, because it is such a great resource. I hope you have a great winter and you get a healthy dose of snow and cold. ❄🌬 snow drift
  2. Felts Field dropped down to 18. The current dp is 21. The NWS has fog in the forecast. You'll likely be colder tomorrow morning.
  3. I was surprised he got ice rather than snow. Many areas got a decent snowfall with the storm. He is usually more likely to get snow. It was a strange storm.
  4. My brother lives in Granite Falls. He had a pretty significant ice storm in January 2012. He had to remove some trees that were permanently damaged. I'm not sure how widespread the ice storm was that year.
  5. I'm more excited than a group of hillbillies in the mosh pit at a John Mellencamp concert. I just wanted to say that.
  6. Just a standard November day with snow on the ground and leaves still on the trees.
  7. My paternal grandparents experienced February 1936 in the Minot area. The cold was far beyond intense, even by Minot's standards.
  8. I said sun angles are still pretty high. I should have included a preface to my statement, when compared to December and January. Our current sun angle is more like early February. So, please excuse me for the omission. I made no statement about the air mass itself. All things being equal, it would likely be colder in December and January.
  9. Felts Field is up to 36 after a low in the teens. The early November sun angle is still pretty high.
