  1. 37 degrees with rain at Santiam Pass. That should change in a couple of hours. Cold front come get us please.
  2. It was beautiful but extremely unenjoyable.
  3. Eugene and especially Springfield suffered from one of the most devastating ice storms in years. In that storm, not a single flake was to be had. I've had one event of slushy snowfall the entire winter. Let's keep it south for a change.
  4. I'll take the .1" and like it. Our best chances for snow down here are probably Friday night into Saturday morning.
  5. I usually share a pic if I can manage to capture at least a few viewable flakes. Unfortunately, it doesn't happen very often.
  6. We are 2nd shade of grey brothers. I'm sure it will work out well.
  7. How do you fare with chilly moist southwest onshore flow? Any terrain blockage to your SW? Regardless, I'm sure you'll be the big winner here. Hopefully you don't lose power.
  8. Some exciting model runs coming up tonight. I'd love for them to show a slushy inch or two down here and also for Medford. Of course, if everyone could get it on the action that would be incredible.
  9. Ok. It's time to check in. Is it going to snow in Eugene this weekend? Most models are showing some, but this event will be on the edge of the knife temperature wise. I do have some high hopes to score a slushy inch but it might just stick to the foothills.
  10. I got 7 inches here in the flats of Eugene (420', nice). It was one of the most anomalous events that I've observed. My favorite part was that there was no WSW or WWA until it was already 3" deep. That was a good day.
  11. I'm looking forward to some positive splats if I can be blessed with them.
  12. I know. I just like to complain. It is foggy out right now and I'm not impressed. Thankfully, I can tell that the fog layer is shallow. Looking forward to some sunny skies in a couple of hours.
  13. Hey it's me, the inversion and fog hater. Does anyone know when inversion season ends. Thanks.
  14. How bout some snow? What did they sat about that?
  15. Holy carp. Beautiful clear skies with the exception of a couple of pink clouds this morning. No fog. No inversion. 39 degrees. Pretty sweet.
  16. Hey does anyone know when the inversion season ends? Thanks.
  17. Yep. It's an older canceled TV show that was seriously funny. I don't know if you drink a beer or two, but if you do try having a couple and watching a couple of episodes. Much of the shows were simply improvved which made it even better. They aren't hard to find online.
  18. I just hope the mountains get what they (and myself) need. The peak of the snowpack at around pass level in Oregon is usually about the end of March. Snowmobile season usually doesn't ramp up here until about late January or early February, but the only weekend it was good to go this year was when we had that devastating ice storm so it wasn't realistic to even go up there. Most sledders like to go off trail and much of the area has huge lava flow rocks that need deep snow to be safe. Need more snow! The next week doesn't look helpful for the Oregon snow pack, but it looks like there is some optimism after that.
  19. I have my interior thermostat set at 70 degrees. It's crazy how much warmer it feels inside when it is warmish outside. If it is 30 degrees outside with obviously low dew points I need a warm sweatshirt inside at 70 degrees. If it is 55 degrees and raining, I am warm in just a t-shirt despite the inside temperature being the same. Dew points are a huge factor even when it isn't 90 degrees out.
  20. I just want biscuit and Gravy. Not Biscuit and gravy.
  21. My Dari Mart biscuits and gravy are way more biscuit than gravy today.
  22. Ok. I'm heading back into my freezer to cool off for a bit until the next non-event in about 12 days. I'm kind of hungry. Some weenies would be helpful.
