  1. Here comes another line of heavy showers and maybe a thunderstorm too. If you look closely, there is a little red with the green which means a little rotation south of Newberg
  2. Looks like the threat of thunderstorms are not over wonder if it could go through the night
  3. Just had a big thunderstorms come through with hail, heavy rain and lightning to the northeast of me
  4. I just noticed a storm coming my way. Looks like it's intensifying too
  5. Some intense thunderstorms coming through looks like some rotation in them too
  6. I know everyone is looking for snow but in the mean time, we have potentially a thunderstorm risk for our area today
  7. Incoming big time. If you are driving into soon like me, drive safely. Standing water will be a big issue and you could hydroplane.
  8. Not sure if anyone shared this picture of the Vista House at Crown Point but it's amazing
  9. We finally got power back a little over an hour ago. I went to my friend's place (which I normally visit on Saturday's) and took a nice hot shower. Roads are not bad but the side streets are still not the greatest, especially the hill I have to go up to to go home. Temperature is 34.5° and hoping it will go higher. I'm done with this cold and freezing rain stuff. I hope we don't have this freezing rain for awhile
  10. I totally understand what you both went through. This cold is bringing back old memories I don't want to remember. My anxiety is in full force right now. I just need to remember that I do have a roof over my head and that I'm not outside in the elements.
  11. 28 hours without power I looked at the outage map and it shows no outage in my area but that's not true I want to tell my sister (because it's in her name) but she's asleep. Last time I checked, it was 57 degrees in the house but that was 6 hours ago. It's getting hard to sleep in the cold. It reminds me of when I was homeless in 2015. Memories I really don't want to remember I hope PGE gets the power back on soon
  12. Well, still no power stuff is melting and I was able to get to the store. Roads are OK but a little slick in spots. The hill next to me is a hill you don't want to stop on because you will get stuck. You need to get enough momentum to reach the top and then slow enough to take a right turn into the complex. I did slide a little doing that but slowed enough to get the vehicle under control. I don't mind it snowing but all the freezing rain is way to much. You can't do anything on ice. I'm hoping we stay above freezing tonight so the ice melts more. Talk about having cabin fever one thing I do wish for is our power to come back
  13. This is PGE's outage map. As you can tell, there is a lot of people without power I just did the East side of Portland, there is still more further West
  14. I went outside and walked to the street I would need to drive down to Sandy Blvd. It's all thick ice. I may have a Subaru but I don't have the right traction tires to get down the hill. I still don't have power hopefully we will get power back soon.
  15. We still don't have power the road conditions in my area are bad. I took these pictures at 3:30am this morning. I can't believe how amazing this camera on this phone is. It looks like it's light out but it's not and there is no power.
  16. We lost power a little passed 10pm and still don't have power I hope everyone on this map gets power soon
  17. We have been have major fluctuations with our power. In the past hour our power has gone off and on 10 times. I was outside and a big chunk of ice fell off the fir tree. My sister took the picture. This is what we have been dealing with all day today. If you like, you can pin this so everyone can see it 🌧
  18. My lights have been flicking on and off from time to time. I hope we don't lose power
  19. East winds have really picked up since I woke up. Temperature was 34.4° when I woke up but has been falling since the East winds picked up. I'm glad I didn't try to get to work because I wouldn't be able to get back home because everything would be all iced over. I did try to walk to the main street but couldn't get there because it's to D**n slick. As you can see from these pictures, it's completely iced over
  20. I won't be going to work today. It only got to 34.4° but temperature went down to 34.2°. The NWS has issued another Winter Weather Advisory for my area. 🌨
  21. I can say the sensor at Crown Point is giving false readings....lmao. I don't think it's almost 100 mph coming from the South
  22. This is what it looks like right now at my place. The temperature has warmed up to 32.4° and I can hear some ice falling but it's a slow process.
  23. I found this picture, it's so amazing it must have been really cold to freeze the Columbia River. Now this is Arctic Air
