  1. I think he doesn't know how good Mark is. Sometimes people forget how good he actually is I actually think there is going to be a battle zone in the Portland area. It's going to be the clash of two air masses. Cold dry air and warm moist air. The combination of the two with the strong winds will stir the atmosphere to give us convection which should produce more precipitation. At least that's my theory. We'll see 🌨
  2. I forgot I wanted to post this earlier this morning. These are pictures from January 11th, 2017, the day after the big snowstorm. This was an amazing snowstorm. I wouldn't mind having this again 🌨
  3. Arctic Air is on the move. You can see the clouds moving SW in British Columbia. You also can see the temperatures too. There are some really cold air up North 🌨
  4. I've been up for awhile couldn't help but wonder what the models are showing so that's why I'm awake it's going to be a long day (I'm working 9 hour days ). Models are looking better for snowfall in my area and other places too but that's not the reason why I'm making a post. I was looking through Facebook and I follow this group for the PNW and saw this picture and had to screenshot it for the people up in the Seattle area. This is an amazing picture and the amount of snow that fell is incredible. It's so hard for Seattle and Portland to get a decent amount of snow but 5 feet amazing 🌨
  5. I forgot to mention this in my last post. The models show a general location of what MAY happen. The location will differ from actual landfall for the low pressure system. The models normally under do the moisture and where it actual goes. Just because Portland gets hit hard, doesn't mean people up North won't get anything. Hope is not all lost. 🌨
  6. I'll never forget this epic snowstorm on January 10th, 2017. I don't remember what time I went to bed that night because I loved watching it snow. The East winds were blowing a bat out of hell through the Gorge and it was snowing for hours. I wish we could have another storm like this one 🌨
  7. Last post. Temperature has fallen another degree since I last posted. I'm not going outside again to see what it’s do but I noticed a thunderstorm next to Pacific City.
  8. Rain and snow mix here. Temperature has been falling steadily. It was 41 at 7:30pm and now it's 38.1 and still falling. I want to stay up but I need some sleep. Hopefully we get a inch or two when I wake up 🌨
