We had snow in the canyons around 5pm. It melted when it hit the ground here in Modjeska, but did stick a bit in Silverado Canyon. Here's some shots from Next Door of Silverado.
Had 0.83" here in Modjeska from this latest storm. There's finally enough water in the creek for the treefrogs to start their mating ritual, which includes lots of loud croaking. They got a late start this year, they usually start this racket in January. Here's what it sounds like in my back yard: https://app.box.com/s/tff63wy7pjo2shgaxfs7
I'm a bit skeptical too Dan, but I'm seeing it reported in the OC Register and LA Times. I'm in Modjeska Canyon just east of Lake Forest and we are generally more extreme, hot and cold, than than they are and our high yesterday was 82.
