  1. That orographic lift got us 1.46" in Modjeska Canyon.
  2. We had snow in the canyons around 5pm. It melted when it hit the ground here in Modjeska, but did stick a bit in Silverado Canyon. Here's some shots from Next Door of Silverado.
  3. Modjeska Canyon has had 4.13" in the last 12 hrs. and 5.20" in the last 24 hrs. Santiago Creek, which runs behind my house, is raging.
  4. Chilly morning today. My truck's door was frozen shut at 7am and I had ice on my windshield. A local weather station said it was 31* at 6:40 am.
  5. Nice to get some rain. Let's hope it's a harbinger of a wet winter
  6. The atmospheric river dumped a paltry 0.19" of rain on Modjeska.
  7. Had 0.83" here in Modjeska from this latest storm. There's finally enough water in the creek for the treefrogs to start their mating ritual, which includes lots of loud croaking. 9. WeatherUnderground is forecasting a low of 26* Monday night here in Modjeska. I sure hope they're wrong, I don't want to be covering plants.
  10. Weather Underground said it was 33* when I got up at 6:30am. Here's today's data from a nearby Modjeska Canyon weather station Brr...
  11. I'm a bit skeptical too Dan, but I'm seeing it reported in the OC Register and LA Times. I'm in Modjeska Canyon just east of Lake Forest and we are generally more extreme, hot and cold, than than they are and our high yesterday was 82.
