It's so hard not to get sucked in to these pretty maps. Have to remind myself that they usually don't actually happen, but there is the chance! I told my niece who loves snow so I probably jinxed it. Of course I've been telling my coworkers also. Even wrote snow for the 28th on our work calendar a few days ago as a bold prediction. Might be a few days late on that....

You should buy some Palm trees too. And lots of cherries and daffodils.

Have past significant windstorms that we have had in Western Washington, or Oregon for that matter, been accurately forecasted? It seems to my recollection that when we have had strong wind storms they have usually been somewhat of a surprise....or at least not much media hyped before hand. And the ones most advertised have often been busts. I do like windstorms, but because I work in park maintenance, the results aren't much fun!

Rocky Road. And I still believe we will have a great winter. People put so much faith in long range models when the effects of the SSW aren't even projected to show yet. And isn't the winter supposed to be backloaded anyway?! All stuff that has already been said, I know. But really, I'm not giving up.

Yes, watching on radar it is moving quickly. Back to all snow here, but don't expect it to amount to much unless somehow a CZ stalls over me. Though I'm pretty far south.

Pretty marginal down south here right now with rain mixing back in. Hope the heavier stuff will make a difference later.
