  1. 2.9" snow total so far. Only light flurries. Perhaps i'll hit the 3" mark by the time this pushes out. Can expect the wind to do wonders with this very light snow.
  2. Cant wait to see what the ratios are. If I stomp my feet i can clear a 1 ft radius. Perhaps 30:1
  3. 2.5" here. Looks like that'll be it for me. Now we wait the cold.
  4. Creeping past the 2" mark. Temp has fallen to 30ºF. You can tell it is getting very fluffy.
  5. Have reached 1.5" here so far. The bottom is a nice slush but not bad. Will probably end up with 2" total. Bummer
  6. Were'd this snow come from? Went from rain to snow. Nice way to end the storm here.
  7. http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/md/2015/mcd2109.gif
  8. Will probably end at 3" of heavy sleet here. Will be interesting how much liquid it actually is.
  9. Just surpassed 2" of sleet here. It's a back breaker. Way way way worse than the heart attack snow we had in Nov.
  10. Never seen this much sleet before. Just over an inch here so far. Ice pellets are so large that they are making small craters on the existing sleet as it hits.
  11. The ice pellets are nice and large. Some measuring about 0.1". Coming down fast and hard.... and diagonally. Take your safety glasses out there because those things sting your eyes
  12. Sleet and more sleet. Well basically all ice pellets. Nice round and clear ice pellets. Light snow mixing in. Temp still at 28.8ºF
  13. I was supposed to get zrain transitioning to rain, but temp sitting at 28.8ºF. It's actually going down. Getting light snow now. Wondering if they're going to upgrade the southern KLOT CWA to an ice storm warning.
  14. About 0.25" of sleet here. Is the system fighting dry air around the Chicago area? Reflectivity keeps dying down as it passes the radar to the north. Edit: Temp just dropped to 29.1ºF. Starting to see some flurries.
