  1. I would take excessive rains over killing frosts or freezes. The longer this pattern goes on the more likely it is to change.
  2. You're really getting parched up there. Thank goodness the rains have arrived. The catastrophe has been avoided.
  3. Places like Deer Park drop into the 30s during the summer. Deer Park is only 15 minutes from Spokane. It's not a good place to have a garden.
  4. We could use some rain. January-March was pretty dry. That being said, I am definitely meant to live in an arid or semi-arid climate.
  5. My first full summer back here I felt the same way, but our October-May time period is much cloudier than most places. I'm really satisfied with an average summer. I need some warmth and sunshine to recharge my battery. An 80-95 degree day here is really quite comfortable. We drop into the 50s and 60s at night. You can't beat that. Dallas or a similar place is a completely different level of misery.
  6. We are under a flood watch. More rain is coming in tonight and tomorrow morning.
  7. You never drop below 70. It can be miserable. Lows in the 80s are even worse, but I'm sure you have air conditioning. It's 56 here and light rain.
  8. It was similar to 1961 and 1967. Let's give it another 50-60 years.
  9. Welcome to my world. Dewpoints are almost always <50 here during the summer.
  10. The Southeast is like that all summer long. Summers there are intense.
  11. This guy gets a weenie tag for mowing the lawn during a tornado.
  12. It's much easier to tolerate consistently cool weather. 30 and 40 degree drops are rough.
  13. Fair enough. There are exceptions to everything. Pin my predictions, and we'll see in a few months.
  14. It was in the 80s and 90s from June 1-4 over here. June 6th made it to just 56.
  15. It's way too early to tell. Every June has crummy weather. Even last year had highs in the 50s up here. Many of the "experts" are saying that the Tongan volcanic eruption will do little to cool the earth's climate. They've been wrong before. Maybe we are at the start of a volcanic summer. I don't know.
  16. It was a vanilla summer. It was the mild salsa.
  17. A July-August period like 2000 could be in the cards. It wasn't horrible. July 4th was 60s and drizzle. We need to get that monkey off of our backs. We're due.
  18. I never thought 2016 was cold. July was colder than average at KGEG though. I experienced many of the coldest Julys. 2016 was weak sauce in comparison
  19. Send us some sunshine. Don't hog it. Currently 54 and light rain.
  20. I'm familiar. The ones listed are record type cold. I experienced all of them. I'm arguing for a pretty middle of the road July-August period. A record cold spring following a la niƱa winter equates to a middle of the road July-August period. The mean temperature in July will be 1-2 degrees below average at KGEG. August will be + or -1. September could go either way.
