i'm not sure anyone is a winner with an ice storm. i can support a bust or much less amounts of ice accumulation. -

kmmv sitting ~18f ...blustery overnight a blessing of snow...enough to coat landscape beds, roads and roofs. small timeframe, early am, of ZR ...but sleet has dominated the day. heavier precipitation will spit snowflakes. -
rock 'n rolling in mcminnville ...KMMV reported gust to 46, shortly before 06:00. otherwise south wind whipping in the mid 20's with gust in mid to upper 30's.

[Missing] March 2022 PNW Wx Discussion
chinook replied to Meatyorologist's topic in West of the Rockies
completely disagree on social media changed it...made it more widely recognizable conversation piece, certainly. my age shows but before the internet it was a hot button topic with parents complaining of the morning darkness and i can very well remember the grumblings in the dorm because people were pissy or hung over for about a week. -
i'm here for the girlfriend pictures. doubtful those will surface.

i'm assuming you're talking about the B and B Complex Fire..."it's still a big field of dead sticks". from the highway, yes, but the abundance of new vegetation is incredible. it's flourishing.

we speak of the "glorious" winters from the past 3 to 4 years...Yamhill and Washington counties just didn't receive the advertised goods. we are due. -

I don’t post much but for very good reasons but have been around for many years. having Tim on a “break” is a good thing for the health of the forum. his knowledge is top tier...he just doesn’t know how to show it the right way. he cheers against the dreams and wishes of the forum. -
carolina bbq [real] is where its at though...

February 2019 Weather Observations and Discussion Part 2
chinook replied to snow_wizard's topic in West of the Rockies
subjective. you would need to put in inches and temperatures in place of letters. i know Yamhill County...even though we have been in the mix [>2 inches] recently our last true dump was in February 2014. Even then it was short lived...ended that event with freezing rain then just gross cold rain. -
