  1. Meh, its the Rams, we lose to them every year. And, we are ahead of last years win pace, so ya!!
  2. Ummm, it wasn't MD that you said you lived though on that occasion that started it all, the MD was the second situation. You can't even keep it straight. Wasn't it you lived at 3000 feet plus at Stampede Pass where there is no towns?? We all remeber that doozy!!
  3. It's best left alone, but it was bad enough to never have a chance to gain real credibility from most of us.
  4. Why are we hoping for troughing right now when it does not matter for the winter?
  5. Agreed, but for some reason a Goonies sequel intrigues me a little. Probably coastal bias.
  6. Yep, Goonies!! Ironic enough though it is the only one of the 3 to not have a sequel, yet...
  7. No alarmist action happening. Just purely going off of opinions of long standing citizens of the coast, and my folks aren't the only ones. It doesnt really matter to me, its been a great summer overall.
  8. Perfect storm maybe... who knows, I just think it is odd to just assume a sensor is bad and not really consider other ideas too.
  9. Why all of a sudden is Astoria being questioned? One "possible outlier" and their is broke, maybe what it shows is real, lets consider that. I could understand arguing it if this was a normal thing, but one year is all it takes to cause questions? Weird.
  10. I get your point, opinions don't hold water. But, nostalgia can and should hold merit, when I hear someone (albeit mom) say this was one of the best in 35 years at the coast, then it had to be warmer than normal and beautiful. Too bad there is no official sensor right on the Washington coast, if there was it would be above normal this summer. Hoquiam is too far inland and honestly, Astoria technically is inland too.
  11. I know where I live and how the weather can be drastically different no matter what the upper levels say they "should be".
  12. Micro climates, the Chehalis River gap, different variables. Some of the same reasons I can get a bunch of snow sometimes in the winter when just 6 miles to the west of me gets nothing.
  13. Phil has a hard time understanding our local climates, understandable for someone who has never lived here.
  14. Warmer than normal anomalies at the coast has produced nicer than normal weather, weird.
  15. Not that personal opinion holds alot of merit on this forum, but my folks who have lived in Westport for the last 35 years say that this summer was one best ever in those years, I tend to believe them. My mom had an amazing garden this year, better than ever as well. The sensor at AST isn't broken, the reality of this summer is the coast was beautiful for weather overall.
