  1. Only 2.8" here so far this month. Tim, Spada lake is just north of the Stevens Pass highway, a few miles east of Monroe. It supplies much of Everett's water supply.
  2. 52/37 today along with .24" rain. Feels like autumn... Autumn by Emily Dickinson The morns are meeker than they were, The nuts are getting brown; The berry’s cheek is plumper, The rose is out of town. The maple wears a gayer scarf, The field a scarlet gown. Lest I should be old-fashioned, I’ll put a trinket on.
  3. Good catch! One of the trees is a victim of marauding deer and the closest tree just suddenly died early this spring. My wife thinks they may make a comeback but that’s looking very unlikely. My theory is death from over watering.
  4. First freezing temp of the season this morning. 31.7F... tied with 1994, 2009 and 2013 for second earliest since 1992 at my location.
  5. Raining hard here. Up to 6.2" for month now after adding 1.2" today. Looking forward to some drying next week.
  6. This morning's showers pushed my total to just over 5" for September. I have had 10 dry days this month and looking at a few more. Tuesday or Wednesday look to be good days for mowing.
  7. 36.6 this morning here. Didn't cloud up at all overnight. Beautiful day ahead.
  8. Added another .35 précip overnight bringing September up to 3.6”. Still raining.
  9. Indeed! I had 1.05" here and 1.82" since Saturday. It looks like more on the way.
  10. We are probably pretty similar for rain totals. I’ve had over 3.5” since the 14th and 8.7” this month so far. I’ve got standing water over much of my property so no mowing possibilities. This is already the wettest April here since I began keeping records in 1992.
  11. 43/34 here with 1.17” of precipitation. Kind of a miserable day for an egg hunt.
  12. Yeah, I see Seattle came in at about 65% of normal. A lot of Olympics shadowing this month.
  13. Raining it’s butt off here and 40F. Almost an inch already this morning. Edit: it really never had a butt actually
  14. I know you have all been waiting for my March stats so here they are: ave temp = 41.8F, 17 days 32F or lower, total precipitation = 6.40”, total snow= 3.0”. Summary = a cool and wet March. I own a Subaru Outback with heated, not cooled seats but with the highly desired “puddle lights”.
  15. Aha, kind of Andy Warholish. Granite Falls has always been a bit eclectic.
  16. Still some snow in the parking lot at the Granite Falls Rite-Aid if anyone’s interested in a late season snowball fight or some snow sculpting.
  17. 25F here with quite a bit of snow hanging on.
