  1. Measured 5” at 730am before I left for work. I’m west of elkhorn/Omaha
  2. My home and property took a huge hit from the floods. I can only hope we luck out and miss the heaviest of the precip. March can be so difficult in our region, will be a huge bummer if we can’t dry out a bit.
  3. Many of us nebraskans have waited a long time for this type of storm. Sorry if you’re getting rain but no need to dog anywhere someone calls home. I have family in Madison but I wouldn’t trade it for what I have here in Omaha. Best of luck to you all as the storm races on!
  4. Hard to tell from pics but my drive was plowed clean and easily drifts in excess of 3 ft all over. Currently under the last heavy band with winds kicking.
  5. Don’t know where I could possibly get accurate measurements but guessing my area hit the 8-10 mark just west of elkhorn.
  6. Thrilled to finally cash in on a legit storm. Congrats to those who have seen snow and those who will. I did a quick walk of my property and I’m going to have my work cut out for me clearing this out. Heavy drifts across my entire drive which is about a 1/4 mile
  7. ^ I grew up in gretna and recognize your pics. You live a couple miles north of my moms house. Love that you guys cashed in hard.
  8. I have a few acres of open flat land where we live. Drifts 2-3 ft everywhere. Solid snow under howling winds for the last couple hours. Gonna be tough to plow this out but I love it. I do feel like jcwx will be the big winner. Gretna got railed a good portion of the day.
  9. Winds really kicking right now under a good band. Visibility near zero.
  10. Full on snow now. Flakes as fat as I’ve ever seen. My wife and kids think I’m crazy with how excited and loud I’m getting watching this.
  11. Still holding on to some sleet but changing over to snow rapidly. Any bare spots are covered already
  12. Steady mix of rain and sleet between Omaha and yutan where I live. Looks to be the case for a little while longer before we fully changeover.
  13. I love snow and fondly remember much better systems each year growing up in eastern ne in the 80’s. I come here to look at maps and discussion on upcoming systems. When someone says someone isn’t deserving of what comes their way is insane to me. We have a complaint section for that garbage. Congrats to all who saw snow today. I could count the flakes as they fell but that’s life.
  14. I was replying to Clint’s post earlier. I get the frustration, but to say Omaha and Lincoln “deserve nothing” is ridiculous to say the least
  15. im just as salty as you but none of us can control what falls from the sky. Move to upper Michigan if it’s that big a deal. We’ve been nickeled and dimed I’m omaha all year and gone without a major storm for years now. Frustrating yes, but nothing we can do to change it. Omaha and Lincoln deserve nothing out of this. You guys have gotten 3 or 4 snow events just like this where my area didn't see even an inch. It's my turn to enjoy something. Took a walk for an hour while the best returns were here. Had moderate to heavy snow and good flake size for a bit. Probably around 3 inches with the back edge now approaching.
