  1. This clipper for sunday-sun nite keeps falling apart here for my area. Maybe a straight flurry or two. Models are drying this up as in moves over MI.
  2. My highs are already back up into the 40s next week. Several days ago, they were in the mid 30s (which is still above average). NO SNOW IN SIGHT!!!!! Hopefully, that will change.
  3. I know, this fog has been insanely crazy this year during Christmas. It reminded me of the Christmas song, "One Foggy Christmas Night." Btw; nice pic!!!!
  4. So far, this month my area has picked up 0.1" of snowfall. Least amount is 0.0" set back in 1889. Holding in top 5 snowless Decembers so far. Lets see how much snow we can get this Sunday w/ that clipper. Not much is expected, but we can certainly see something add up to it.
  5. I have a strong gut feeling that January will be rockin for a lot of our sub-forum members. It looks to be on the colder side as well, so that is good news. As for my area, its not brutal, but definitely colder than December and some decent snow chances. Right now, going down the pipe a little deeper, (March) looks darn right cold and snowy. Typical nino pattern.
  6. Some improvements coming, finally!!!!! NOAA: Colder air settles into the region late week into the weekend as a Canadian high pressure builds into the area. Friday into Saturday appear to the dry with the influence of this high with temperatures settle to around 40 on Friday and into the mid/upper 30s Saturday (which is closer to, but still a bit above average for the last days of December). High temperatures will remain in the mid 30s Sunday and Monday with minor snow chances returning as the northern stream shortwave ushering in the continued colder air mass crosses the area late this weekend.
  7. Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you all had a blessed day. I swear it feels like its early April outside. Temp is in the upper 40s and heading back up into the 50s once again. Its a wet, soupy, foggy, misty day. UGH!!! I have never experienced such a warm December. Just wow!! Hopefully, January cooperates and makes up for all of Decembers loss. January cannot come fast enough, so that we can get outta this soupy mess that we are in. The weather pattern feels like its not moving at all and we are just stuck in this.
  8. Great pics amigo. I almost forgot what snow looks like. Very excited about your new adventure. Keep us all posted.
  9. This December might actually end up being a snowless month for my area and along w that, way AN temps. Nino doing its thing I guess.

  11. This is pretty neat. How do you take care of this. I am assuming it must take a lot of effort.
  12. I remember that storm very well. It was a hugger, so (Northern Queens where I was ) had a hvy mix bag but then, went over to a very heavy windswept rain. Winds were very strong too.Up to 70mph wind gusts, sustained at 40-50mph. Trees had fallen as well and power outages were reported throughout the area. It was a slow mover, so same areas were getting pounded. That is the one great thing about living on the EC. You get to experienced some real storms and if you are lucky, you will see a true blizzard. I have. Never will forget it (1996, January 7-8th. I received 30 inches in mby w drifts as high as 10 feet). Anyways, Subways were flooding and everything had to close down. It was a nightmare. Heavy snows were reported inland. If it was just a few miles offshore, my area would had been inundated w snowfall. That is the only aspect you have to watch out for when you are tracking these nor'easters. A slight wrong path and you are f**ked.
  13. What a beautiful forecast to see and knowing its urs.
  14. This has the looks of an Jan-early mid Mar winter hit. Some good arctic masses and storms to hit.
  15. Ahhhhh...the good 'ol headline that we all miss seeing in our forecast. Hopefully, soon.
  16. Yep. Me too. I remember 2017, Christmas Day was brutal w at least 6"+ otg. Also, I was waiting for tons of guests to come over and only half showed up. Daytime highs were in the frigid teens. My front glass door had icicle designs.
  17. Light rain and a very mild temp in the 40s attm. Keep in mind, average high is around 36F. More mild weather all of next week and into Christmas Day (Which could be near 50F w/ showers on Christmas Day). So, all of December looks like it will be snowless here in mby. I don't mid it as long as the good stuff is back-loaded for January and February. Also, tbh, this mild weather has been a real treat for shoppers and for other outdoor activities and decor, especially.
  18. Dropping into the teens tanite but quickly recovering into the upper 40s tomorrow afternoon w sunshine and clouds mix. Then, mid 50s on Friday to maybe cracking the 60 degree mark. Absolutely gorgeous days.
  19. Tbh, this weather feels soooo good. I think I am getting use to it. Great Christmas shopping weather for some also.
  20. Break out those shorts. Very warm conditions are expected (ESPECIALLY Christmas Day). They are already forecasting 50s for my area, possibly higher in spots and other places. Just wow! Possibly records to be broken!!! Do I dare say: grilling on Christmas Day???!!! Note: I never did like that Halloween snow!!!!
  21. Christmas Day here in my area will most likely be a very mild one this year w/ readings well into the 40s and possibly near 50F. It could also rain as well. Classic nino set-up. As I said b4, I'd be very happy if my snowfall this winter gets to at least near average. We will see about that though.
  22. Best of luck to ya bud. Always exciting to experience new adventures.
