  1. In the last area I lived in, there were practically no winter time thunderstorms except for one time a squall line hit town in Jan 2016. There was still snow pack on grass and thought it was very strange! Anything is possible
  2. Both the 1st and 2nd rounds of the storms have expanded outlooks on SPC. I just might get a decent one after all in my area. But the Slight Risk still stops just to my NW.
  3. Crisp low of 32 this morning, 69-70 later. Can't wait for the thunderstorms beginning late Tue into Wed evening!!
  4. I'm sure the original comment containing "bro" had no ill-intent behind it. I've more often than not seen it used in friendly banter. It's not the most professional way to address someone but it was a pretty common phrase at one point in time.
  5. That's better than having 70 in February, and that will be here in a few days.
  6. Even the two nights 24 hours apart are odd, going from 63 for a low to 28 here! That's the kind of night we'd have in late Spring, in late February.
  7. I hope at least the Marginal covers NE KY the next day.
  8. The temp sharply dropped just now. It was 45 an hour ago and calm conditions, now 36 w/ blowing wet flakes, occasional 30mph gusts.
  9. Still looking like that's coming. I hope we get something exciting to tide us over until the real season kicks in.
  10. Maybe he meant in overall area coverage, I'd have to look back at each year. 2020 was definitely bigger in Oregon.
  11. Interesting that t'storm landed on Feb 22nd.. 2 years ago there was a rather large-scale MCS that plowed through the Ohio/TN valleys on 2/22/2022. I should have a few radar loops of that saved, and I think that was one of the events that had a TOR being issued in Nashville, TN. Strangely I went that entire winter season without a single rumble of thunder in Ashland. My first one that year occurred in early March. If that storm had a name, I'd call it the TWOsday storm, it fell on a Tuesday, and with a bunch of 2's on the date.. lol
  12. We had a nice storm come through Ashland around 2 to 2:30pm! A couple booms shook the place. Probably my loudest "winter time" thunderstorm.. I'm tempted to say winter is over but we could still have a mid March snow event, you just never know.
  13. They have CoCoRaHs sites there, one of them I followed most got taken off the network I think but there is another in downtown that I hope is reliable. But yeah, their airport doesn't report snow.
  14. While some of the west sides have had good scores with Feb, it wasn't a good month in K-Falls from 2020-2022. I forgot if they had snow last February down there. They went from a top tier snowy/cold one to multiple dry ones in a row..
  15. We still run the heat early in the morning but so far we haven't touched the a/c yet this year. Behind some of my patched up areas where wasps were entering, I heard one trying to get in last night
  16. Might be finishing off the month with a warm departure again. But I expected it might happen, I've seen other late winters during an El Nino feature severe wx events out here.
  17. If that had been a hot week, and not half a summer straight of 90-99 I'd have probably enjoyed that little extreme wave.
  18. Maybe I strayed a little off the point but basically I was breaking down how each year went. 2011 had a nice mild summer but couldn't like the rest of that year.
  19. It truly was odd timing that it was my first summer in Klamath Falls and thought having a couple 90+ days the entire year was normal there at the time I look back at Summer 2011 every once in a while. As an individual season, hard to beat it though there were some things I didn't like about 2011 as a calendar year. The seasons had less of a transition. 2016 was probably the most character building year for me when I lived there. I didn't forget about summer 2019 (very average) but aside from a few really great months that year had to offer it would still come a bit short with all things weighed.
  20. 30 degrees with occasional flurry storms this afternoon! It hits 32 when the sun is out, and drops a degree or two during a shower.
  21. The Boyd County Weather Barrier prevailed last night, it snowed but didn't stick to the places where it typically gets measured. Roofs and trees looked white though! The snow also had a much wetter feel to it, I stood out in it when taking the trash out and it was a lot like March or April snow I would see in Klamath Falls.
  22. March 2022 had a mean above average but still featured a nice mid-month snowstorm for us. Not quite as warm as Dec 2021 though, that was a weird one.
  23. Under a Winter Weather Advisory which will be in effect 1 hour from now. 1-3" (not sure how much I'll get) So far it's been a dull February but with some chilly mornings I guess. We haven't had fog in quite some time.
