  1. Awesome to see so many people finally getting snow. Also, it's true that there was a sharp cutoff in the Bellingham area during the last event. On the north end of WWU's campus where I live, there was a few inches, but when I took a walk south on the Bay trail the day after the snowfall, the snow suddenly disappeared around Boulevard Park. I remember looking at the radar when the snow was falling, the edge of the precipitation was over the bay, so it might have been that, or just that outflow didn't reach far enough.
  2. Today/last night has been great for Bellingham. I got about 2.5" where I live near WWU, five times more than I saw the last two winters combined (which were the first two I've been here. I've been really unlucky). Very cool to see the effects of Fraser outflow in person, although there weren't any strong winds or anything where I'm at. It's still snowing lightly. Really hoping that other people score in the midweek system, we're all overdue for a nice event.
  3. pretty awesome forecast for Las Vegas! http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?map.x=203&map.y=209&minlon=-118.92&maxlon=-112.43&minlat=33.93&maxlat=39.26&mapwidth=354&site=vef&zmx=1&zmy=1#.VKDmfMAA0
  4. Yeah, I was just looking at the Oakland station too. It was cooler than Phil was describing, yet his house is hundreds of feet higher in elevation. It does seem weird, right?
  5. What did you mean by the triatomic thing?
  6. ??? Water has three atoms, but I'm not sure what you mean by this.
  7. I thought today was great, a good day for late April with some moderate showers but also sun. I just can't wait for it to be warmer so I can attempt to grow some watermelons.
  8. Today was pretty nice, I'll definitely take 50's and partly sunny over heavy wet snow at the end of March.
  9. First thunderstorm of the year in north Seattle, so far there have been two loud rumbles. Yay for spring. My rain gauge is at 8.51" for March now.
  10. It's actually quite nice out right now. Gotta take what you can get.
  11. I'm holding on to my memories of the one night it snowed a few weeks ago.
