  1. Euro has a much warmer start to April than the GFS. Upper 50s for highs in Lincoln vs. upper 30s. GFS much wetter as well as already mentioned.
  2. Overall it looks like less than expected in the Lincoln area. Only 0.61” fell at the airport. Per usual, we did get more in the southeast part of time, around 1” or so. Baby steps I guess, could’ve been nothing like the every precipitation chance in November through February.
  3. Those 4 people out there have really been showing off this year
  4. Models have come into agreement for around 1.5" of QPF for Omaha/Lincoln with a band of snow setting up between Lincoln and Grand Island tomorrow morning. I would love to wake up to a surprise tomorrow morning but I doubt it anything will accumulate even if a changeover occurs. Regardless the mid 30s and rain will be welcome.
  5. Less than 15” around here is about where you’re like “wow that’s pretty bad”. This low of winter snowfall has to be a once in 100-200 years for eastern Nebraska, unless a random spring dumping happens.
  6. 18z NAM is west and looking snowy for Central Nebraska. Another much needed (would normally be very annoying) cold rain for SE Nebraska.
  7. The NAM has been useless past 36 hours but watch it be right for once lol
  8. I was honestly kinda tempted to drive a bit south or east this morning but whatever I'm sure Lincoln has to get 3" at some point next winter
  9. 2.5” of snow has been reported about 15 miles south of me in Firth, NE. I don’t believe even a flake fell here, but over an inch of rain fell overnight.
  10. Around 0.5-0.75" has fallen so far in SE Lincoln, temps have dropped to 35-36.
  11. Already raining steadily in southeast Lincoln. Who knows if it snows tonight we‘ll just take the moisture.
  12. Way out in fantasy land but lovely start to April on the 12z GFS
  13. Norfolk at 4.1” is the big one for me, it seems like they always find a way to get snow. 2016-17 when Lincoln had 7.5”, Norfolk still managed to pick up like 30” lol.
  14. Winter sunsets aren’t really that early in Lincoln, I think I would want to switch to mountain time if standard time is eliminated. These days I tend to sleep in most of the time, but soon I’ll be doing the lovely 8-5 grind and 9 am sunrises wouldn’t be fun. On the other hand, I’ve been enjoying the late sunsets the past few days. It’s been annoying to have a days in the 60s and 70s (short sleeve weather) and the temperatures drops 20 degrees at sunset.
  15. Yeah I’ll feel a lot better just forgetting this year and moving on to the next. Basically any possible scenario next year will be better than this one.
  16. Winters are typically on the sunnier side, and this has been a very dry and sunny winter for the region. More active years can have some gloomy stretches, though I would guess nothing like Seattle.
  17. About 90 minutes worth of snowfall in Desoto County, MS Photo credit to my dad lol
  18. Back where my folks are at in the Memphis area is currently getting slammed. There's a decent chance MEM ends up with more snow for season than LNK after this storm. I've seen accumulating snow the first week of March there, but not quite this late.
  19. I just hope some rain chances can pop up at least. I think I’ll have a stroke at age 22 if there’s another winter “threat”. Should be back in the 60s by Sunday
  20. Nebraska's natural snow blower has done so well this year blowing the snow to other states
  21. I guess the main timing was supposed to be midnight-6 am but even 2-4” for Lincoln seems like a stretch given the terrible model trends and radar looking like crap.
