    Did not expect for snow to continue this long, looked like it was on its way out a few hours ago. Wouldn't be surprised to crack 6".

    The band in Central NE does seem to be holding strong. It'll probably fizzle before it gets here, but something to watch I guess.

    Looks like one more good band is going to move through before it's basically over. Nothing earth shattering, but a nice storm since there was a solid chance this morning we'd get nothing and it never looked good for us except for last night.

    12z RGEM actually has the heavy snow band NW of Lincoln. I'm just going to wait and see what happens because models have proved to be useless the past couple of days.

    With school cancelled, I don't even want to go outside unless its snowing. On Friday evening with the freezing rain I slipped and fell on the same sidewalk twice a few hours apart...and I was sober the first time.

    Looks like OAX is just keeping the advisories and only upping it to 2-4" for Omaha/Lincoln along with .1-.2" ice.

    Just shows how small snow shields often are in the Midwest. One minute we're on the southern edge of it, and the next we're on the northern edge. This ain't the Northeast

    OAX said on Facebook that they don't make major model changes based on 18z runs, which is fair. There seems to be a trend, but I wouldn't want them to jump the gun yet just to have to retract it later.

    Surprised the euro held serve for the most part. There's gotta be some kind of cave by 12z, but it probably won't favor us.

    Idk what the euro is on, but I want some. What a dumb outrageous solution (well unless it's right). Hard to trust any model if you can't trust the euro.

    OAX has 0.10" of ZR followed by 1-2" of snow for Lincoln, yuck.

    GFS has a big, but very short lived, cold snap for Friday. -12 in the morning, 16 by the afternoon, and 34 by midnight. Weird.

    I'd be happy with 2-4" here after yesterday's failure. Just really want something on top of this old crust and mud now.

    I'm pretty sure not a single flake fell here, but I was at work for a few hours with no windows. Just a gross icy day.

    The possibility of freezing drizzle and sleet may be enough excuse to keep an advisory even with minimal snow. At least its looked iffy for a while in Eastern NE. IA people are having the rugged pulled right from under them if things don't correct back soon.
