  1. Remember when it used to rain in the summer when we were kids?
  2. Got the lawn mowed before it got too hot. Smoky AF in Springfield. I will also believe it when I see it. I don't care if the models are showing a complete system-state change, the hot runs have verified every phucking time.
  3. Smoke intensifying moving south through the valley. Was beautiful at OHSU this morning. Central Valley was getting smoky by 2-3 and the south valley looks like Mordor. Making for a pretty sunset though.
  4. We have seen this movie before. It's called "Slides East"
  5. Headed up to OHSU again today so I will get a full valley tour.
  6. Right on. I've got Montana State's jersey but not the Griz yet. Haven't been since 2001.
  7. Decent cell just SE of Bend/La Pine. You can see the anvil top from Springfield. Several strikes already. Oh brother...
  8. Some pretty-looking cumulus over the south Oregon coast range.
  9. As I will be moving to Springfield full time in October I am beginning to shift my focus towards the south Willamette Valley. As far as those years go, all of them delivered wonderful events here. I think 13-14 was the best for Eugene/Springfield as the early December event dropped 6"+ here before going into the ice box and the early February 2014 event dropped about 8". Obviously the potential exists for a 1969-type scenario but those are very rare. Maybe a 1/100 chance of happening in a given year.
  10. It's gonna be ok man. We are all in this together.
  11. Mariners have hit the skids. They need runs badly tonight or the longest North American pro sports playoff drought will continue.
  12. Springfield broke out of the clouds around 10AM today. Another beautiful day with temps in the upper 70s. Perfect.
  13. Good to see more folks from Oregon. Says you've been a member for a while. Nice.
  14. Christmas event was basically Woodburn north and the Feb event dropped a very slushy inch (honestly probly less) on the grass which melted within 2 hrs. Places closer to Corvallis and Albany had nothing.
  15. There are parts of the central and south valley that have not seen an accumulating snowfall since march of 2017. If we go til 2020+ without one that will be incredibly depressing.
  16. Part of me wants to take the reverse-jinx pessimist route but that would be annoying AF. Honestly, I really do feel like there will be at least one regional event this year from Medford to BC. IMBY, last year was torturous so if it's lame IMBY this year then it will probly be very bad/boring for most of the PNW lowlands. I've gotta think that goddam Greenland vortex will be in play at some point. Main concern is our access to Arctic air feels to me like it is going away.
  17. Still no measurable rain for Eugene-Springfield since 6/10. Pleasant 68F morning.
