  1. 36F for a min temp can happen pretty regularly here in March.
  2. Probly has something to do with depressingly hot summers somehow.
  3. Down to 40F after that heavy shower. Once the sun goes down we will cool into the mid-upper 30s.
  4. Up to 46F, come on let's see if we can get a 50F burger!
  5. 5 year anniversary of the biggest snowstorm of the 21st century for Springfield.
  6. My family liked that the team from DC in 1972 was moving to DFW where they live.
  7. I still can't believe my favorite team, the Rangers, managed to win it all. They were so cursed before that. Maybe the Mariners will break theirs next.
  8. I keep forgetting that there is an NHL team in Seattle when they passed on putting a team in Oregon. Aside from the Ducks, sports in Oregon are generally pretty depressing.
  9. It has started to rain. Mountains are gonna get rocked with some very nice snow soon.
  10. 55F and beautiful out there. Kiddos outside more often.
  11. Cottage Grove, Springfield, Sweet Home, Stayton, Canby, Oregon City. That stretch tends be be quite bad because of the warm nose while areas west of I-5 can do much better in some setups. In onshore flow events we can occasionally do better. But it’s mostly dependent on precip rates this time of year.
  12. Looks a lot like last Feb-Mar where most of western Oregon did well for snow. Eugene/Springfield was the only place that got the shaft in terms of snowfall relative to the rest of the PNW since Dec 2021. We’ve had more ice accumulation than snow since late Dec 2021.
  13. Significant step back on the GFS. Just some seasonably cool temps but not really anything all that interesting for here.
  14. With terrain bleed and that showing over 7" for here, I'm going to assume where will be some sticking snow in areas around town in heavy precip.
  15. Yeah I was working in Taft in Lincoln City at the time and even they were seeing snow, which is very rare for that area.
  16. Yeah if the 522dm thickness line crosses us in heavy precip and onshore flow it will upslope here and cause more precip and lower the snow level.
  17. Oregon never should’ve allowed Washington to break away in the later 1800s. Was a huge mistake in retrospect.
