  1. It's going to be a beautiful day here with sunshine and highs in the upper 60's. I started a thread for the upcoming storm early next week that could bring a variety of weather to the Plains.
  2. It's looking more and more likely that a strong storm will bring a threat of severe weather along with heavy rain and potentially a Winter side depending on the amount of phasing that occurs. Currently the GFS has the upper level low closing off over NE Iowa and the Euro is more progressive both solutions bring beneficial rains to the center of the nation where moisture is needed badly. Lets discuss.
  3. Same here and it's been missing the last few years. I hope for a turnaround this season.
  4. GFS trending toward a better looking storm at the end of the month with some severe weather possible. Reed Timmer, PhD @ReedTimmerUSA WATCHING the next storm system very closely for severe weather in the southern Plains through the Ohio River Valley around March 31-April 2! The GFS models have been shifting toward a more bulbous trough ejection with stronger low-level shear in the warm sector. This is still the early season, so issues with limited moisture can prevent these systems from reaching their ceiling in terms of tornado production, but this next system should have more ample moisture as the Gulf of Mexico was not as ravaged this recent system
  5. The chances for rain to close out the month and to start April are not great for me but it is improving slightly. It's very much needed as the drought continues to intensify again over western MO. More snow for the northern members.
  6. Here is how the precipitation fell and where it didn't. I received only a trace.
  7. A hard freeze overnight and my current temperature is 24. Big warm up coming by the end of the week.
  8. Same thing going on here, only a trace of rain out of the whole thing.
  9. I have a marginal risk for some severe weather this evening with hail being the primary threat. I could get enough heating this afternoon in the dry slot for some big storms to fire up along the front. The Nam and GFS show some slushy snow possible early Tuesday morning for the KC area.
  10. Hi-Res models remain mostly dry here except for the RAP while the globels have gotten slightly wetter. One thing that's a given is the wind.
  11. Models showing hardly any precip in my area with most showing under a 1/4 inch.
  12. 0z run moves the storm along a little faster and has a brief change over to rain for the Twin Cities and has some very lofty totals
  13. Models have been trending down on rainfall in mby. 18z EC for the clipper Weekend storm Total QPF
  14. CPC's risk of heavy snow Also great coverage with the 7 day QPF
  15. Temps this morning have dropped into the mid 20s this morning which feels rather cold after the warm weather I've had. 0z models are looking rather wet next weekend and snowy for some.
  16. Below normal temps the next couple of days for the first time this month. The hard freeze which should be no big deal this time of year will likely damage the fruit trees that are flowering and or leafed out atm. Hopefully next weekends storm will be a good rain producer.
  17. Ensembles showing the weather becoming interesting around the 22nd. The part of the pattern that produced our 2 weeks of winter in January would be set to return at the very end of the month into April.
  18. 0z Euro and Control going big also so it must be true lol
  19. Lots of signs pointing to a cold end of the month and start to April. The vegetation will be in trouble around here as trees are leafing out about 4 to 5 weeks early.
  20. 0z Euro with a beast of a storm on day 10. I can't imagine the outrage that would occur if the GFS was showing this lol.
  21. Heavy thunderstorm atm with some cloud to ground lighting has managed to wake up the entire house lol. I'm going to put the coffee pot to work today lol.
  22. Myself and the KC are upgraded to an enhanced risk.
  23. Warned cell getting ready to move overhead, quarter sized hail is possible.
  24. The ski resorts in Colorado are going to love this. This storm has produced in every cycle but the amounts this time look to be much larger.
  25. Just missing out on some big storms producing torrential rains and large hail along the I-70 corridor in Missouri. More widespread storms possible tomorrow along with some severe storms.
