  1. Hmm. The track looks perfect for a Nebraska snowstorm, but the precip is cutoff on the NW side it seems like. Does anybody know why?
  2. Don't even start with me lol... we're prone to a nasty drought. And you're pulling for Chi-town?!?!
  3. Not to rain on your parade Chicago (no pun intended), but I will freak out if this thing shifts anymore SE. This has Nebraska written all over it if it is to go NW. You guys have had plenty.
  4. Holy cow. Talk about an idle track. That'd be incredible if that panned out. I'm getting way jealous of you guys, we need this storm. I haven't seen anything but pea sized flakes fall for an extended period of time this year. This first frame would be a hell of a snowstorm with heavy rates if it panned out. EDIT: Not sure what the temps would look like, but GFS has a freezing rain event. Yuck.
  5. The hatred is real amongst us right now. Enjoy your 6-10" AGAIN.
  6. How do you guys think Nebraska eill do out of this monster storm?? It looks like it takes the ideal track thru KC, but is it having phasing issues?? Doesnt seem like its wrapping up and really exploding til it gets to IA/MN
  7. It's 16 here, I hate it but I can't complain that's for sure. Can't believe parts of NW South Carolina are supposed to get 10-14" out of this storm! Spartanburg, SC might have more snow this year than most of Nebraska! It's safe for us to say we want to put a fork in winter. Unless we can get one of those storms
  8. It's a clipper, we hardly ever get those out this far west. It's the big storm afterwards that were missing out on that makes me mad...
  9. It looks like the Panhandle could get a pretty decent sized snowstorm this upcoming week. Anytime I see Nebraska getting hit, I cheer for them. It's crucial that none of our state goes into drought, as it tends to spread east/west especially when there are parts that are in extreme/exceptional as we see out west. That looks okay for Eastern Nebraska too, I would be fine with another 1-3" event. That would put our total above 6" on the ground, which would be the most we've had on the ground all year. GFS still hinting at a monster Colorado Low out in fantasy land, hopefully that comes to fruition as it's been popping up the past couple days.
  10. Ended up with 4" here, haha, we just can't beat you guys, even when the models are in our favor.
  11. **slowclaps** haha... congrats man. I wish I could be there right now to see it!
  12. I'm jealous man. Can't complain about this storm, as I might end up close to 6", but man you guys are getting plowed. I wouldn't be surprised to see areas in KC over 14". Congrats. Hopefully we can tack on some more totals here before the blowtorch gets us.
  13. Gabel23 getting rocked right now it looks like! Wouldn't be surprised if they upgrade your area to a WWA. Jc, I think that might needa be shifted over Lincoln, the heaviest of the snow is forming to our SW and due south and basically whipping around Northwest. Would love to get in on some of those snowfall rates.
  14. We're going to be lucky to break 4" here in Lincoln, the area that was supposed to get hit the hardest as of model runs from yesterday. Just awful, awful awful awful. It's saddening, you guys in DSM have 24", we have 8". We have no snow on the ground, and the ground is literally cracking. My yard looks like pictures from the dust bowl, and I'm being serious. We were supposed to do way better than DSM. I just don't get this year, or the past 3 at that.
  15. I agree. Reminds me of 2012, we got nothing all year, and literally fried during the summer. Sometimes it feels like Nebraska is turning into Arizona.
  16. Hoping GFS is a bust, we'd really get shafted if that happens. Really hope for 6". Models we're showing 12-14" just a day ago, and earlier today the least the GFS/NAM showed was 8" for Lincoln. I'll be pretty upset if we don't get 6"
  17. It's a credible source without a doubt. I feel your pain, but I think the system might just be a slow mover, so it's taking longer to get here. I wouldn't expect totals to change much. Still hoping for a stronger system with that NW trend so we can clock in on heavy amounts. EDIT: I use the HRRR haha, not the RAP.
  18. Rapid Refresh looking much improved from earlier, I like the setup, looks like heavy banding could set up further north. Local news stations saying anywhere for 6-10" in Lincoln, hopefully they're right. Will be an interesting night to say the least.
  19. Yeah you are. I think we'll do well in Lincoln too. I bet we'll get an advisory and people around here will freak out. However, I think we will end up with 6-10" total in and around the city. I wouldn't be surprised if banding ends up further north, or further south, hence the broad totals. It really could go either way given that we are literally on the edge of the heavy stuff especially here in downtown. I hope models are wrong and this banding sets up further north, generally models can't pinpoint exactly where they setup, so it's time to just check the radar and HRRR from this point. Going to be a fun one, hopefully. Hope for the best for everyone on this forum!
  20. Yeah Gabel, I feel really bad you're missing out on this for the most part. I'd love to see a NW shift so you could clock in on some good totals. Crossing my fingers for you bro.
  21. Are we in that 12-14"?? I cant tell, literally 20 mile shift north would be all it takes.
  22. This is the best run yet for me, I have a 12-14" bullseye right over top of Lincoln! WOW. wish it was the 00z showing this haha
