Much of the northern 2/3 of BC just had their 2nd to 4th driest March on record and they went into winter with high drought codes at freeze up. Heard reports yesterday that ice is coming off the lakes in the Cariboo area about a month early. Apparently there is open water on Watch Lake, where our family cabin is, and it historically doesn’t melt out until the first week of May.
