  2. 68 here. Will probably be short of yesterday’s 71F
  3. Sounds nasty. Cooling stations and air conditioning helps.
  4. My puke emoji is on behalf of Jesse. I think he may be hibernating now.
  5. Most of central BC is under an air quality advisory for blowing dust as the drought in BC intensifies.
  6. Seems like this ridge has been centered a little more to the north. Some of the records in central and northern BC were 5-8F above their previous records yesterday. And many of those records were pre 1950, so a short POR won’t account for the historic nature of the airmass. Dawson Creek is currently the hot spot in all of Canada at 68F and that is pretty far to the north.
  7. Gem had a snow event up here a week from tonight, as well
  8. Even if it does snow this time of year there’s no need to plow. It’ll be gone by the afternoon.

  10. I remember someone a couple days ago was mocking Mark Nelsen for having 77F on his 7 day forecasts.
  11. Good lord. Mid 60s to low 70s. Hopefully everyone is staying hydrated during this heat emergency
  12. Not many turkeys up here on Vancouver island. But Shawnigan Lake does actually have a decent sized flock.
  13. I saw a nice parking lot snow pile today, left over from just about 2 weeks ago. I think that area had a lot of hail, so it might have been a hail/ snow pile. high of 62 today
  14. The only question is how much? You’re in the heart of prime snow season down there.
  15. We had some frost this morning. It was sadly already melted by 9am.
  16. I remember being out on the west coast at Long beach a few years ago and a lady came down to the beach with her kid. She set up her space with her snacks, beach mats, towels and lawn chairs. It was a little closer to the water than most other people were sitting but still seemed a good distance from the surf. Next thing she knew she was waist deep in water and all of her things were floating and being sucked back into the ocean. Safe to say her day was ruined. . People helped her find what they could but I think her lunch was probably a write off.
  17. Yea. I was working near the ocean and the breeze was chilly. Kept alternating between sweater and no sweater. Really frustrating
  18. I feel like I’d probably wake up if a tornado hit my house.
  19. My 6 year old leaves to catch the bus at 730. It’s pretty much dark when she leaves on most winter mornings. I would prefer no time change. Don’t really care if it was DST or standard they both have their goods and bads.
  20. Frosty this morning here. Low of 31.6. Looking like a nice afternoon. Probably around 50 and sunny
