  1. I predict fall will arrive within months.
  2. All good points but... breathing dense smoke 2-4 months a year might be just a bit hyperbolic.
  3. Gotcha. Yeah, it really only make financial sense to buy a place right now (for most people) if you can put down a huge down payment. Or even better just pay cash if you're downsizing and have enough equity.
  4. Seems by this point you should have enough equity to sell and put like 50% down on a new place? Assuming you put at least 20% down payment on current mortgage. Unless you are looking to upsize or move somewhere more expensive, but from what you've shared that seems doubtful.
  5. It does still show a significant cooldown before that, though. But yeah, way warmer from day 7 on. Then you have the 12z AI which went the other way. Models be struggling.
  6. RONI (relative ONI, which calibrates based on overall ocean temps) is forecast to peak at +3.4, which would obliterate the current record of +2.5 set in January 1982.
  7. Yeah, this has been brought up a few times on here lately. The prediction markets have been the wild wild west for the past year or so since they became widespread, but starting to see more and more crackdowns and regulations appear. I mentioned it awhile ago, but the potential for "insider trading" even with bets on the weather (people who have first access to temp data, etc) is massive with some of the markets on there.
  8. About as close as you can get to a guarantee up there. There's a reason September is the most popular month for weddings in CO, especially in the mountains.
  9. GFS and Euro/Euro AI are worlds apart from day 6 on, in terms of tangible weather for the PNW. GFS supports the "payback for July" narrative, Euro/Euro AI do not.
  10. Here as well! First 40s since 6/14. A tiny taste of fall before we go back into the inferno later this week.
  11. Analog = none
  12. 2018, a summer you recently compared this one to, had 17 at this point and 21 by 8/10.
  13. Down to 2.5 mi now at SLE. Looks like that's the worst of the major stations.
